My spiritual master, Bhaktimarga Swami, is leaving for India in two weeks. I only have that amount of time to spend with him. I've stayed at this temple for a month and a half and I've gotten so used to seeing him around everyday.
I stayed longer than I was supposed to becuase he just had a hernia surgery done. He is doing very wel now. But while he was in the hospital for two days I was in total anxiety for him. The day he left for the hospital I nearly cried. I feel very attached to my spiritual master.
And now it's getting close to the days where he is leaving for India. I'm going to feel severe separation from him. I cannot seem to grasp the idea of that our guru is always with us. I just have trouble undertanding it I guess. I konw spiritual masters are meant to go around the world to preach, but seeing that i was nearly seeing him everyday since I've been up here it will be hard to let go. I will not see him again until May after he leaves for India. A few times this morning I almost got teary eyed about him leaving. My guru is a father to me and I feel even closer to him now since being here at this temple in Toronto.
Any word of advice on this?

Hare Krishna Hari Lila Devi Dasi,
Instead of thinking what would make me happy, (presence of my Guru around me.. in this case)
What can I do that will make my spiritual master happy?
Spiritual master is happiest when he pleases the wishes of His spiritual master, Srila Prabhupada.
Nothing will make our spiritual masters/Acharyas happier when we follow the instructions of Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
Starting with the First Instruction...
ceto-darpaṇa-mārjanaḿ bhava-mahā-dāvāgni-nirvāpaṇaḿ
śreyaḥ-kairava-candrikā-vitaraṇaḿ vidyā-vadhū-jīvanam
ānandāmbudhi-vardhanaḿ prati-padaḿ pūrṇāmṛtāsvādanaḿ
sarvātma-snapanaḿ paraḿ vijayate śrī-kṛṣṇa-sańkīrtanam
Just simply perform Sankirtana every day and your Spiritual master will be very pleased with your service.
Bonus: When your spiritual master is pleased, even Lord Krishna will also be pleased. In fact that is the true test on how do we know if Krishna is pleased with our service.
