Hare Krishna Curious about honey

Hare Krishna

i have a doubt on the forbidden foods.  I wonder how honey is allowed in to the diet as its source requires lot of torture against the honey bees.  Producing honey indulges in killing the insects larve and also have some constituents of dead larves bodies in it.

Pls dont be offened.. Is a very genuine question of mine and i had been thinking abt it for a long time.

Thank you in advance

Which insects will be killed in honey production, Prabhu?

As I know they just replace nectar with sugar.

Honey comb is made up of many cells.  each cell host the larve of the bees.  these cells are also filled by honey.  Honey is food for the larvey if its there in that particular cell else its kept as storage and its food for the bees.  Now the process of honey extraction includes first driving away the bees using smoke/fire and other means.  And then breaking through the honey comb and squeezing out the honey.  in this case the bodies of larve (baby bees) will be all broken to pieces and will ozze out with honey.
