A true seeker finds.Sometimes it takes time to recognise a guru who is right in front of us. For that, we need to purify ourselves - for that we have to follow the process of ABCD - association, reading books, chanting and diet of Krsna prasadam.
Guru is necessary because approaching the lord via a guru is pleasing to the lord.
We first need to Focus on our Devotional Practice ,Make it Strong .Chant 16 rounds ,follow 4 Regulative principles,
Eat only Krishna Prasad, Follow ekadasis If Possible. So seeing your Sincerity Krishna Sends us a Guru . Prbhupada says We should only accept a Genuine Bonafide Guru. (Means coming fron the Parampara). For Now Do Your Sadhana and try to improve it .

The knowledge is usually received true Sadhu, Guru and Shastra, one of them or combined.
The Shastra is above other two, therefore only Sadhus and Gurus who preach and behave according to Shastra are bonafide.
