Feelings towards devotees

Hare Krishna to all the devotees

All glories to srila Prabhupada

I have joined and attended a camp in devprayag from iskcon.

It was my first experience so I enjoyed it a lot and also learned a lot, i also got to meet devotees from destany places.

Among them I heard about one of the devotee who was serious in bhakti. I heard some other devotees talk about him that how he was born on apara ekadashi day . And how he is very good in kirtan and also how he is attached to one certain maharaj (I don't know the name of whom).

Also how he was complimented and hugged by a senior HG Chaitanya Sundar prabhuji.

- I know it is very important to be in association of such devotees and glorify them, but a feelings comes as I think that we are so inferior and how greatly they are doing bhakti very seriously.

I feel it is envy towards a devotee which is detrimental.

I tried to think good of them and of their glory but a feeling maybe still remains in the corner of the heart.

What should be done in such cases as I think it must a vaishnav apradh!

  • Hare Krishna,

Being born on a sacred day such as Apara Ekadashi may indicate the influence of great piety and spiritual merit accumulated from previous lives.

At the same time, according to Vedic understanding, anyone who has taken birth in this material world still has some unfinished spiritual journey or lessons to complete.

If a soul had attained complete perfection and pure love of Krishna, there would be no need to return to the cycle of birth and death.

Therefore, rather than seeing someone as vastly superior or inferior, it is helpful to remember that all of us are travelers on the path of bhakti, each blessed with different strengths, opportunities, and areas for growth. Our focus should be to appreciate the good qualities of devotees while remaining humble and sincere in our own spiritual practice."

I do not envy him for being born on Apara Ekadashi. Rather, I feel that any soul who has taken birth in this world is still exposed to the influence of maya. My prayer is that he, and all of us, may perfect our devotion in this life, return to Krishna's eternal abode, Goloka, and never have to return to the cycle of birth and death again.

People who are born in aristrocratic families are great because they have done many past life times and acummulated great punya karma. But they did one or two small mistakes for which they have to come back to finish and learn some lessons and go back. But this is Kaliyuga and It is faulty and influence of maya is great. There is every chance that they can fall down at any point of time. But the Good thing is he/she has come back into contact with devotees and is resuming the devotional activities and chanting wherever it was left from.

It is not a Vaishnava aparadh just by thinking. Unless you do it in action by your words or deeds or by doing ninda by gossiping bad about him or her behind their back.

Thinking about someone in your own mind unless you do action is just not an aparadh. Don't fear.

You didn't do anything against that person till now. You are safe.

Take inspiration from that person you also can become a great devotee in this life time itself and go back to Godhead.. NO ONE IS STOPPING YOU. You are given a clean stale to write your own destiny. Start from today itself. You can do it ! Don't compare yourself with others.

YOu are a soul and you are already spiritual . .. just you need to realize that YOU are a part of KRISHNA and you have the potential to become Krishna's servant.

    Hare Krishna
