Fall down from spiritual world

Hare Krishna,

Dandavat Pranam to all devotees

All glories to Srila Prabhupada

I have heard that all people in this world have fallen down from the spiritual world. But the spiritual world is baikuntha or which is pure, so how was it that our consciousness got polluted in such a pure place and specially in the Lord's abode.

I have got answers like somehow or the other we fell down from there, but its not very convincing.

At the same time Krsna assures us in BG15.7 that one who reaches his abode never returns to this miserable world. So it is confirmed that once we are in the spiritual world,we won't return here, but then a soul in the spiritual world should not have fallen at all,and if he has fallen then there's a possibility that he can fall again.

I don't have doubt over the Lord's words and the answer may be like that a person who has fallen once and has gone through the miseries of this world will not desire to come back here, once he has reached the spiritual world, but this is  my speculation only.

May be i am using my intelligence to get an answer which I should not do.

So please throw some light on the above topic.

Sorry for the offence.

With regards,

Your servant

Hare Krishna, prabhuji!!!! I think the sentence 'falling from the spiritual world' actually denotes falling from our constitutional position where the individual soul is supposed to be the eternal servant of Lord. The sentence has got a more metaphorical significance than literal. As Krishna confirms in Bhagavad Gita, that one who goes to the spiritual world will never fall down. We fall because, as Prabhupada says, due to 'independence'. God lets u act as per ur choice. Now u hv 2 choices, Krishna or Maya. When one chooses Maya due to foolishness, he immediately falls down. When he chooses Krishna, he is eternally happy in His kingdom. So in the sentence ' falling down from the spiritual world', the word 'spiritual world' actually denotes a condition, a transcendental position and not literally, the kingdom of God.

    • Hare Krishna Prabhuji,

Thankyou for the answer.I also fully agree with you that it must be the fall of consciousness and not the fall from the kingdom of God.Thats why it is said that pure devotees of the Lord can live anywhere, whether it be hell or heaven because their consciousness is never polluted.

      With regards,

      YS
