They are Monkeys. There are special planets in this universe where live Hanuman and all other habitants of those planets have such like bodies.
In Rama Lila all Demigods assisted Him in the body of monkeys. There are even planets for bird like living entities like Garuda or snakes like Takshaka, Vasuki... All are these children of Prajapatis like Kashyapa Muni...
