    Hare Krishna, humble obeisances

Yea it differs mataji. Like for eg here in UAE and other gulf countries, we had ekadashi yesterday and in the calender it's mentioned in India and other countries it's today. It's all because of some geographical difference and related to position of moon. Ekadashi falls on the 11th day of lunar month or simply after 11 days from the day of new moon. But you should fast according to the mentioned day/date of ur place or country. As much mentioned in my vaishnava calender, ekadashi alls on the same day in all places in India. I suggest u must follow those calender which are preinted by ISKCON or on IDT.

  • Hare Krishna,

Because we follow Mathura & Vrindavan calendar. So in Mathura and Vrindavan today(10th) is Ekadasi.

i am also surprised. Yes, people in India have little different calendar but our calendar was composed by  Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur by the order of his Guru so it is from proper parampara and we follow that.

          Hare Krishna dear maral mataji,

if a devotee misses out the ekadashi according to her place, so can she fast on the other ekadashi which is for some other county or place? (in case)

            my humble obeisances!

If we forgot to observe fast on Ekadashi day then begging forgiveness we have to do it on Dvadashi the day after Ekadashi.

No need to follow calendar which is calculated for far distant places.
