Eating sweets in is which mode?

Hare Krsna! pamho agtsp

I have always wondered which mode (out of goodness, passion and ignorance) does eating too much sweet belong to? I thought it would be in the mode of passion. But In BG, Krsna mentions too salty, sour, hot, pungent.... are in mode of passion. Neither Krsna nor Prabhupada (in His purports) mention about eating too much sweet.

Does any one know it?

Thank you in advance!

Hari Bol!

    my humble obeisances Prabhuji,

anything in too much or in too less quantity is in the mode of passion. Too much and too less - these two extremes are in the mode of passion. For example, to be too fat is in the mode of ignorance and to be too thin is in the mode of passion. But as Srila Prabhupada said a Devotee should have only 1 cm fat under the skin. Too much obesity is hindrance for devotional service...

Too much sweet makes one lazy. It means we fall into the mode of ignorance. So better to keep balance.

    Your servant,
