Does our preaching really matters?

There are millions and millions of universes (brahmanda) and in those universes there are trillions of living entities

There are conditioned souls in this material world from time immemorial and will also continue

Inspite of all this, does our preaching really matters, isnt it very insignificant ?

If there would have been a certain no. of conditioned souls in the material world then it would be okay, but there are almost unlimited living entities

please forgive me for this stupid question🙇‍♂️

    Hare KRsna PRabhu,

    PAMHO.

It is the nature of the world - innumerable souls are there. When a soul qualifies and goes back to godhead, Mahavishnu released another sleeping soul from His abdomen to the material world. There will always be lots of souls who have to qualify to go back.

Now taking a material analog - when any city is planned, a jail is also planned in it. Does that mean that the authorities want to keep people in jail? No na. They know that there will be some offenders and they need to be kept separately. Therefore jails are created. If someone thinks, moment someone is released from the jail, another inmate comes. So what is the use of releasing them, does it work? Each soul has its own journey and pathway back to Godhead. And Krsna is so merciful that each He connects with each soul individually, at His level and reciprocates.

Another point is - Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu gave direction - Bharat Bhumite janma hoilo jar, Janam sarthak kore koro par upokar.....amar agya paaye taaro eyi desh - translation - one who is born in Bharat/ India, make your life successful by delivering others.... by My orders, deliver this country (Bharat). So it is completely authorised to preach. Of course, one has to qualify to preach. The best way to qualify is to follow. The better follower we are, the better preacher we will be. Purity is the force - so if we follow diligently, we will get purified. That is the force. Thats how we will get mercy.

    Haribol,

    Your servant,

    Radha Rasamayi DD

  • Hare Krishna,

I wonder where do you get this all question from? Because they are  twisty. This is not a stupid question. This is brain twister question.

Many people think they are some kinda of guru to preach to someone.. they themselves are not reformed first. What can they preach anyone.

Preaching actually is passing the information known to you to another. In a way you are acting like medium.

actually to be frank when I preach to someone... I learn a lot myself. laughing This way I am connected to Krishna.

I remembered a story of  a little squirrel who tired to help the Vanara Sena during the bridge building time across the ocean. Squierrel was a tiny creature. Monkey's were lifting heavy boulders and writing Shree Rama's name and throwing into the Ocean to built a Rama Setu.  This little Squirrel felt I also must do some seva for Lord Rama. The Squrriel ran and made its body wet and jumped onto the pile of sand and with the muddy back scurried to the Bridge and deposited the sand which was stuck to the back of its body by sleeping on the bridge again ran hither thither collecting mud and dumping. The Monkey's felt it was hindering their work and simply lifted it and dropped it on to the ground., but it didn't stop kept on coming back and forth. This was noticed by Lord Rama. Lord Rama picked the squirrel up in his hands and rubbed its back with love and acknowledge its devotion and since then.. squirrels got the three lines on its back they say as mark of appreciation for the tiny help that it tried to render for the sake of Lord.

So any teeny tiny help also Lord recognizes.

Preaching is not only make you pass on the information you got to others it also makes your faith stronger.

doosaron ki udhhar se pehle humare dosh door honge preaching se.

    Secondly, ..

When you do any work.. we must do wholeheartedly.. if we keep estimating the result.. We cannot do any act.

hum kitna kar paayenge.. ye na socho kabhi.. ( 2.47 BG says. .. we must do karma without attachemnt to the results.

Agar humare se doosaron ke uddhar na ho paaya toh bhi teekh hai. .. kyon ki preaching makes your faith stronger first of all.

hum kitte logon ka uddhar kar sakte...? itte log hai..? Well... Squirrel didn't think like that... This big  Rama Setu.. is being build.. how small is my contribution it is so insignificant. Let it be.. Let them do the work.. I will go and sleep in my burrow.

Squirrel did the help that it felt it is way more than its body size. Lord appreciated its smallest effort also.

We are doing it for the pleasure of Krishna.

WE ARE DOING THIS SEVA OF PREACHING AS IT MAKES OUR OWN FAITH STRONGER ON KRISHNA. .. Fal ki chinta hi kyon karein?

    Thirdly,

Whatever we see within this material world, that is only a fragment part of all the living entities. The major portion of the living entities, they are in the spiritual world. They are called nitya-mukta, ever-liberated. And we, in this material world, we are nitya-baddha, ever-conditioned.

Nitya-mukta, the living entities who are living, who are residing in the spiritual world, their number is greater than the conditioned soul.

As per this.. conditioned souls are limited.

    Fourthly,

Do you know what is a wild fire?

You are a marginal potency of Lord and you have the spiritual spark in you. The spark of blazing fire which is just sufficient to cause a Wild fire.

All you need is a gust of wind which makes the spark to fly and start a wild fire.

You are part and parcel of Super Soul so you have a tiny spark of fire in you.. When you meet a gusty wind ( A guru under whose direction ) you spread the holy name of Lord and it soon catches up and sets up a wild fire which can burn ( all the trees) oceans of sins which are standing tall.

Srila Prabhupada went to the west to spread the glories of Lord. All he had with him is the a blessing from his guru and one word in his heart that ...Sri chaitanaya manobhostham

    oṁ ajñāna-timirāndhasya
    jñānāñjana-śalākayā
    cakṣur unmīlitaṁ yena
    tasmai śrī-gurave namaḥ
    śrī-caitanya-mano-'bhīṣṭaṁ
    sthāpitaṁ yena bhū-tale
    svayaṁ rūpaḥ kadā mahyaṁ
    dadāti sva-padāntikam

I was born in the darkest ignorance, and my spiritual master opened my eyes with the torch of knowledge. I offer my respectful obeisances unto him. When will Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī Prabhupāda, who has established within this material world the mission to fulfill the desire of Lord Caitanya, give me shelter under his lotus feet?

The mission was clear-- to spread the glories to the whole world.

The blessings were there- his spiritual master gave.

The blazing spark went to the west and lit up the hearts of many.  You can see ..now everywhere people know " HARE KRISHNA"

In the west.. all know who is Krishna.. they say.. Oh the blue God  of hindus the Hare Krishna those people who chant.. <<< funny thing they all know even a layman knows Krishna .. they don't have to know... much.. atleast they are taking one time Krishna's name.. Oh the Hare Krishna's we know they say..  Whenever I hear them say.. even jokingly the Hare Krishna.. I smile inside to myself.. ( pagal log .. ye bhi bina soche samjhe hi ek baar toh bol diye hare krishna)

You know what's the  effect of taking one time Krishna's name?????????

If you want to know let me know.. Thats a another story.

    Hare Krishna

  • Hare Krsna

" Even if one person becomes Krsna conscious we will consider our mission a success. "

Srila Prabhupada in Preface to Bhagavad-gita as it is.

That's the answer, " even if one person can become Krsna conscious, preaching is worth the effort. "

A preacher explains the supreme secret to the devotees.

Lord Krsna Himself declares in Bg 18.69 , " There is no servant in this world more dear to Me than he, nor will there ever be one more dear. "

    Hari bol
