It is not sinful to do government service. HG Mohini Madhavi mataji is originally from Turkmenistan. She mentioned about her country. There may be a specific reason why Srila Prabhupada did not allow devotees to work for Govt of Turkmenistan - I am not aware of it.
She is not answering queries now. If she sees this message, I am sure she will respond.
