As stated in the Padma purana there are 4 lakh varieties of manavah - human beings.
1) Can somebody elaborate on the different types?
2) I suppose that demigods including brahma also come in human being category(manavah category) eventhough all of them do not come from Manu's. This I concluded because they do not fall in the other categories. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
3) The people in the different provinces "kirata-hunandhra-pulinda-pulkasa / abhira-sumbha yavanah khasadayah" are considered belonging to same category or are they classified as different category?

yes, even now they are present Prabhuji according to Srimad Bhagavatam.
There are parallel worlds even here on Earth Planet but because our senses are not ideal we can not feel and see them. And maybe it is for our own safety also.
If we see and feel them then life is impossible.
Please read in Srimad Bhagavatam canto 10 where Krishna killed Putana. There are given many names of such human like beings but in subtler bodies than ours.
Also Drhuva Maharaja fought with such like living beings.
So even Demigods enter to the category of 400 000 human like living beings.
Others are birds, insects, those who crawl, fishes, microbes...
Your servant,
If demigods do not belong to one of the 4lac varities of human species, then to which category do they belong?
is it so? I mean Demigods are not in human category?
As i know all those gandharvas, pittas, siddhas, Devas, pishachas, rakshasas, kinnaras, ...(many subtle living entities described in Srimad Bhagavatam 10th Canto in the place when Krishna killed demon Putan) so all these who are having human forms are considered in human category, no?!
There are 8400 000 varieties of living entities and among them 400 000 are in human form. Hope i am not committing any mistake, i am bad with numbers.

Oh Govinda, Sddhartha Prabhu, is it really true?
