Depending too much on Krishna

Hare Krishna!

Dandavat Pranam to all devotees.

Recently--especially for the past few months--I've been feeling like I'm depending too much on Krishna. In the sense that, even for the smallest of things, i reach out to him.

To the point it feels like I'm being a burden on Krishna for asking too much. I'm not very interested in monetary gain or anything of that sort so I don't really pray to him for getting any such gain----but when it comes to things like getting me out of stressful situations, helping me out in projects and endeavors, or full filing desires like avoiding plans which I don't want to be part of, etc, I can't help but pray and reach out and rely on him for everything.

I want to know if such a situation would cause any hindrance in progressing with Bhakti, and if I might be being a burden to Krishna by asking for so much.

  • Hare Krishna. Dandavat pranam. Your sincerity and self-reflection itself show genuine bhakti. Depending on Krishna is not a burden to Him; He is unlimited and fully capable of carrying the concerns of His devotees. In the Gita, Krishna reassures us that He preserves what His devotee has and carries what they lack. Turning to Him even in small matters reflects trust, not weakness.

That said, bhakti naturally matures over time—from asking Krishna to solve our problems to offering our actions and accepting outcomes as His mercy. There is no fault in praying during stress or uncertainty, as long as we continue to make sincere effort and accept whatever result comes without resentment.

Rather than worrying about “asking too much,” you might gently shift your prayers toward gratitude, guidance, and service, while keeping the faith that Krishna is your well-wisher. He is a loving father and friend, not someone who feels burdened. May your dependence deepen into peaceful surrender and steady remembrance. Hare Krishna

  • Actually, prayers all come from the heart and build more trust in you. Spiritual practice is a long journey of cultivating your mind and character. This is truly important.

  • Please don’t worry — Krishna is never burdened by your prayers. In fact, your constant remembrance of Him in every situation is a sign of growing dependence and surrender. True Bhakti means turning to Krishna both in joy and in struggle.

  • Hare Krishna,

If you asking petty things to be solved by Krishna it is not worth to ask. Krishna is Supreme Personality of Godhead.  These small things usually settle down on their own. We are facing stressful conditions because of our Prarabdha karma... but again Krishna can reduce the burdensome conditions if you request HIM to do it. If you consider HIM as God then, surely it is too small to ask such things from Krishna as time solves these things on their own.

Krishna wont feel burdensome at all.....only if you consider HIM as your best friend thats the condition.

If you have a best friend you can ask advice, small help at times but again. . if He is a friend you also must do something for Krishna as He is ur bestie. isn't it?

what are you going to do to please your Best friend Krishna?

friend in need is a friend indeed.  But this connection should be mutual. Hai na?

If I have a wealthy friend who hold a great position as well ... we do make use of him ..recommendation or fine word " Referrance"

But we have to give something in return as well.

lia hai to help kuch dena bhi banta hai.

kya dena hai aapko apne mitr ko?

tumhara mitr Krishna tumhari itni sahayata jo kar rahe hai.  ummmmmmm?

    Hare Krishna
