Hare Krishna,
I am Ravindra Kumar from Karachi Pakistan,
Here we sees Muslims are very clear with their religious basic education, as they have specific DUAs and SURAHs for the specific situations, so my question is that is there is any specific SHILOK of Srimad Bhagwad Geeta or any other Pray in our religion for the Dead Person or when we go the their funeral?? like Muslims read SURAH E FATIHA and "Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un"

Hare Krsna Prabhuji,
PAMHO.
It is said that chanting the shlokas of Bhagawad Gita is very good for the departed soul. If the entire 700 shlokas cannot be recited, atleast Ch 8. If that is also difficult, then Ch 10, shlokas 8 - 11.
Apart from this, we have a one size fits all mantra - the Hare Krsna Mahamantra. Chanting/ doing kirtan for the departed soul is very very good. Normally, devotees will keep a kirtan program in their house in the days of shok (mourning) and invite devotees to sing and take prasadam for the departed soul.
In Hindus, otherwise, Garuda Purana is read in the mourning period. It gives in detail what happens to the soul once it leaves the body.

Thanks for the reply , Yes, we also do Kirtana and Srimad Bhagwad Geeta paath for the departed soul. but I was just asking for the random pray on someone's death. Actually few days before, when I was travelling toward my office, I saw a death body of cat lying on the road, so I chanted geeta slokas for the cat , so the question raised in my mind for the specific sloka
thanks again
