Recently, in Abu Dhabi I have heard that a B.A.P.S Swaminarayan temple was opened.
I wanted to know that is Swaminarayan Temple or BAPS organization from one of the 4 bona fide Sampradayas?

I don't think they belong to some authentic bonofied sampradaya etc. But I believe one thing whatever maybe the sampradaya.. They also taking name of Lord Hari/ narayana/krishna. One who takes shelter of the name of Lord. They are under direct protection of Lord. So we shouldn't comment on their being asampradayic etc. Lord will take care of them. If Lord thinks they are eligible than Lord will give special consideration and status and recognisation. Who are we in this affair. We should never be critical about anyone's faith. esp. who are uttering Lord's name.
Ya, the name of swami Narayana ( incarnation of Lord Krishna) as they say so is not mentioned in the list of avtaras given in SB. He could be some divine personality or some saint who got more recognization. Why to comment.
Better say sorry to Lord for the ninda. .. Of all the aparadha Ninda of a devotee is the biggest sin. He maybe not an incarnation of Krishna but He is Krishna's bhakt so .. never do ninda of Bhakt.

I always had negative views towards Asampradayic Devotees such as Kripalu Maharaj and a few others. Thank You so Much for correcting my mindset!

But if one seeks their advice in terms of devotion like many do in my friend circle, is that okay?

The special powers exgibited (according to the Bhagavatam), is normal but that doesnt mean they have bhava or love for krishna yet. Swami Narayana moslty believe in Narayana part not so much Krishna I think. They like Vishnu more.
Vishnu and Krishna are more or less the same only
then go pray to vishnu and leave krishna alone!!!
It is fine as long you are a Vaishnava.
And Praising or talking about one form of Krishna (Vishnu) doesnt mean I am Critical for the Latter (Krishna) and I will abandon Krishna.
If I said, "I like your watch" That doesn't mean I have to throw my Rolex away and buy your watch

I was just teling that Narayana's Aspects are Basically Krishna's only.
It is matter of the choice of the devotee. Everyone has right to chose whatvever they feel is correct. Okay If they are going in wrong way you can guide them. But if they don't listen then don't argue. Someday they will learn their mistake and comeback. Above all Krishna is there to correct and teach everyone and guide everyone. We are no one. Krishna will see what should be done how things can be rectified.

According to wiki Swami-narayana was initaited by Ramanda Swami (of Uddava-sampradaya), Ramananda -swami is in the Nirbanka-sampradaya.
