Big Tulasi Mala or Small Tulasi Mala?

Please Accept My Humble Obeisances & Dandavat Pranams.

All Glories to Srila Prabhupada, Sri Gurudev & Gauranga.

All Glories to Sri Sri Radha Vinod Bihari.

Hare Krishna

I have a small set of Tulasi beads that I use for japa. I have often seen bigger ones (called Maha-Tulasi). Which is more beneficial to spiritual progress?

I also have this same question about Tulasi Neckbeads as well. Are the bigger beads holding more Spiritual Shakti than the smaller ones?

Please forgive me if I have committed any offense in asking this question.

Hari Bol

Your Aspiring Servant,

David

Hare Krishna dear Devotees please accept my humble obeisances! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

when we chant with those Devotees who are very attentive in their chanting then we will also learn from them. we will also get desire to chant seriously. sometimes when we are alone we fell asleep but if Devotees are nearby they will pinch you and wake you up. in this way Devotees help to each other to serve to Krishna nicely.

     Your servant,

Yes, Nitai Prabhu writes true. Krishna Consciousness should be big not the size of Tulasi neck Malas.

Concerning beads, they should be bigger enough in order to catch them nicely and do not skip 2 or 3 in one time. If they are too small then it is difficult, we will by mistake skip.

i did not try with very big ones, i think with them we will sleep if our fingers are small. So, we have to choose according the size of our fingers in order to chant nicely.

I may be wrong but many Devotees and Maharaj has said:

It doesn't really matter what is the size of the Neck Mala or Tulasi Japa Mala. The main thing is that your  Krishna consciousness has to be big not the size of the Mala.

If I've said anything to offend please forgive me,

    Nitai
