I THINK ITS RAMPAL, THE CHEATER. HIS FOLLOWERS ARE ON FB. I WAS ALSO CAUGHT IN 2011 IN THEIR PHILOSOPHY. BUT WHEN WE READ THE PURPORT, 'HIM' MEANS PARAMATMA OR OTHER INCARNATIONS, NOT TO SOME KABIR.

    PURPORT

A living entity should therefore surrender unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is situated in everyone's heart, and that will relieve him from all kinds of miseries of this material existence. By such surrender, not only will one be released from all miseries in this life, but at the end he will reach the Supreme God. The transcendental world is described in the Vedic literature (Ṛg Veda 1.22.20) as tad viṣṇoḥ paramaḿ padam. Since all of creation is the kingdom of God, everything material is actually spiritual, but paramaḿ padam specifically refers to the eternal abode, which is called the spiritual sky or Vaikuṇṭha.

In the Fifteenth Chapter of Bhagavad-gītā it is stated, sarvasya cāhaḿ hṛdi sanniviṣṭaḥ: the Lord is seated in everyone's heart. So this recommendation that one should surrender unto the Supersoul sitting within means that one should surrender unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa has already been accepted by Arjuna as the Supreme. He was accepted in the Tenth Chapter as paraḿ brahma paraḿ dhāma. Arjuna has accepted Kṛṣṇa as the Supreme Personality of Godhead and the supreme abode of all living entities, not only because of his personal experience but also because of the evidence of great authorities like Nārada, Asita, Devala and Vyāsa.

So in text 61 Krishna is talking about the supersoul (Paramatma) when He says ' The Supreme Lord is situated in everyone’s heart'. Now since text 62 is a continuation of 61, 'Him' in text 62 is referred to the Paramatma. According to grammar rules instead of saying Paramtma again Krishna says 'Him'. Even in the purport to text 62 Shrila Prabhupada has said that 'Him' in text 62 refers to the Paramatma. Now in text 62 when Krishna says to surrender to the Paramtma He means we should surrender to Him(Krishna) which can be understood from the following text as Rahul Prabhu provided-

yes, also this understanding came to me but now it is confirmed. Thank You Prabhuji!

Hopefully it hasn't been mentioned but I think I have a decent answer which incorporates most of what others devotees have stated.

The "Him" obviously refers to something Krsna stated in a previous verse just based on pure context of the verse. So looking at 18.61 we get this:

    TEXT 61

    isvarah sarva-bhutanam
    hrd-dese 'rjuna tisthati
    bhramayan sarva-bhutani
    yantrarudhani mayaya

    TRANSLATION

The Supreme Lord is situated in everyone's heart, O Arjuna, and is directing the wanderings of all living entities, who are seated as on a machine, made of the material energy.

This means that the "Him" which Krsna refers to is Isvarah or the Supreme Lord. Now who is the Supreme Lord... we can obviously state without doubt that He is the greatest being in the word. He is "Supreme" which means above all.

Krsna very nicely mentions so many times that He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Maral Mataji's verse from 18.55 is an excellent example (though asitis.com's translation doesn't have "Me" or "I" ).

    9.8:

The whole cosmic order is under Me. By My will it is manifested again and again, and by My will it is annihilated at the end.

Chapter 10 is a jewel among chapters because in every single verse Krsna states that HE IS THE SUPREME PERSONALITY OF GODHEAD!!! (Haribol!)

    For example:

Of all creations I am the beginning and the end and also the middle, O Arjuna. Of all sciences I am the spiritual science of the self, and among logicians I am the conclusive truth. (10.32)

I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who know this perfectly engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts. (10.8)

Furthermore, O Arjuna, I am the generating seed of all existences. There is no being--moving or unmoving--that can exist without Me. (10.39).

The final verses from the 18th chapter also stand to show Krsna's supremity:

    Chapter 18, Verse 65.
Always think of Me and become My devotee. Worship Me and offer your homage unto Me. Thus you will come to Me without fail. I promise you this because you are My very dear friend.

    Chapter 18, Verse 66.
Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reaction. Do not fear.

If still unsatisfied this next verse serves a very powerful proof:

    Chapter 18, Verse 46.
By worship of the Lord, who is the source of all beings and who is all-pervading, man can, in the performance of his own duty, attain perfection.

It's a but difficult to argue that the Lord is not the Supreme Lord, when the verse itself clearly characterizes the Lord as Supreme (in case of any "word play" arguments). The key phrases are: "source of all beings" and "all pervading" ... Chapter 10 again is our key reference point to support these statements that Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead and it is Krsna who refers to Himself in 18.62.

Of course there are countless verses in the Gita that shows that Krsna is God, but as Mihir Prabhu said you shouldn't force him. It's all there in the Gita, one just has to look from an open and sincere perspective - like Arjuna.

    ===========================

(extra remarks which sort of emerged from Rahul Prabhu's comments)

Many many times I have seen foolish people claim that Krsna did not speak the Gita ... rather God (or as one fellow put it - Kala (Time) ) entered Krsna and spoke those words through Krsna. That is why, they said, that Krsna switched between Me and Supreme Lord.

In Maral Mataji's 18.55 quoted verse, the word for word translation doesn't mention "Kingdom" or "realm" or any otehr synonym to symbolize "kingdom of God" but since it gives a key word "enters" so many philosophers who don't understand Krsna claim that we enter into God, whereas Krsna is non different from Him, His name, His pastimes, and His realm. Even I fell prey to other silly thoughts when I took a college course on Hinduism and a required reading was an english translation of the Gita by a highly acclaimed scholar (the professor refused to allow students to use Srila Prabhupada's version both because he only wanted to look at translations and because it would be difficult to follow in relation to what he required)... Anyway, he lectured that Krsna gave different instructions - Karma Yoga, Dhyana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and Jnana Yoga. He stated that Dhyana Yoga was the best because Krsna repeatedly came back to it (of course this was based on the scholar's version which did not emphasize the devotional aspect of each yoga system as Srila Prabhupada did) and I got confused myself. When I went back to read Srila Prabhupada's book I would analyze the translation and realize that some parts of Prabhupada's translation did not make sense in conjunction to the word for word.

Luckily by Krsna's arrangement I decided to spend more and more time on IDT and while reviewing various discussion topics, I gained back that full faith in Srila Prabhupada's book (I always kept Srila Prabhupada's Gita near me as my source, but I was "confused" to say the least about various statements in the Gita, so Prabhupada's Gita was THE Gita for me, but I was just "iffy" on certain parts that's all). After all said and done, I wrote about why Bhakti Yoga was Krsna's ultimate and most powerful instructions for a midterm essay :)

All Glories to Shri Guru and Gauranga!!

    Bg 18.55
    bhaktyā mām abhijānāti
    yāvān yaś cāsmi tattvataḥ
    tato māṁ tattvato jñātvā
    viśate tad-anantaram
    Word for word:
bhaktyā — by pure devotional service; mām — Me; abhijānāti — one can know; yāvān — as much as; yaḥ ca asmi — as I am; tattvataḥ — in truth; tataḥ — thereafter; mām — Me; tattvataḥ — in truth; jñātvā — knowing; viśate — he enters; tat-anantaram — thereafter.
    Translation:
One can understand Me as I am, as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, only by devotional service. And when one is in full consciousness of Me by such devotion, he can enter into the kingdom of God.

in many verses He told "To Me" in that verse He told "To Him" meaning Himself as a Super soul.

In this way Krishna is expert is His speech.
