Hare Krishna dear devotees,

I am a new grihastha (household person) to the Krishna Consciousness community and am increasingly feeling the challenge of balancing family responsibilities and daily sadhana. I can only do about 4-6 rounds of japa a day now, and sometimes feel guilty about not being able to maintain a larger number of rounds.

I would especially like to hear from members who have experienced or are in a similar situation:

How do you maintain the spirit of bhakti when sadhana time is limited due to family, work, or children?

What are some small, effective practices (like attending morning arati, listening to kirtan while cooking, etc.) that you find greatly improve your bhakti during a busy day?

What do Srila Prabhupada or the non-self books say about maintaining sadhana in the busy life of a grihastha?

I would love to hear from those of you with similar life experiences — both words of encouragement and practical tips. Thanks so much!

Hare Krishna, your humble servant.

  • Hare Krishna,

First of all I doubt whether you are a spammer or a real devotee .. because, I am seeing some advertisement of a website or some online game is attached to your question. Clear that first.

Then I will help you out.

    Hare Krishna
