Asakti

Hare Krishna,

In the process of self realization what are the symptoms of the stages of Ruchi and Asakti which comes before Bhava stage(Rarely attained) ?while in religious tour I have seen some advanced devotees weeping(not showing off) while chanting and was amazed at this. What stage they are in ?

Should i discuss these things in forum ?

please forgive me for any offense.

    my humble obeisances!

    All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

i heard in lectures that these stages all are there in every part of our devotional life. But the difference is in intensity. To some extent person who has shaddha has some nishtha but very small, he has ruchi but very less comparatively to real ruchi.

And to cry while chanting is the process. Srila Prabhupada says that we should chant as if a child crying for his mother. So when we are alone we can cry also in order t attract mercy of Krishna.

It means person is praying with emotions which is good.

Sometimes Devotee cries because is not able to be alert at the time of chanting. Becoming angry to one ownself.

Sometimes cries repenting for sins which has done for many life times.

Sometimes he cries for not having enough ears to hear the sweet Holy Names.

Sometimes he cries because even Krishna is His Holy Name but he feels separation. As like Gopis cursed Brahma for creating such like blinking eye lied.

So summery, in every stage these things are there but the intensity is different.

In the reality shraddha in condensed form is prema.

    Your servant,
