In Vedic Literatures , we have got information about Swarg Lok ( Higher Planetry System )-

  • a place with higher material facilities for higher sense gratification  ( remember its all temporary though ! )
  •  a place where demigods resides whose King is Indra-Dev
  • a place where Karmis accumulating Good Deeds or Punyas go.

A similar place like Jannat is mentioned in the Holy Quran . The description of Jannat is much similar to Swarg Lok . But when its about the Heaven , the description do not match . Though I haven't read the Quran and The Bible personally , but I have heared that Heaven is a place where the God lives and its a place where Jesus Christ lives .

My Questions are -

  1. Is Heaven = Swarg ?
  2. Is Jannat = Swarg ?
  3. Both Heaven and Jannat is within the universe or any of them lies in the eternal spiritual Sky ?

( Note:- Don't forget our aim is none of the above place , coz we are trying to get residance at the topmost planet in the spiritual sky i.e. Golok Vrindavan ! I have just asked for the sake of information and to clear my confusion only . Mainly for the Heaven . )

Hare Krsna !

Hare Krishna Prateek Prabhuji, please accept my humble obeisances! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Jesus Christ might be having his own spiritual planet as like Dhruva Maharaja is having. In the same way Srila Prabhupada told that there might be a planet for pure Muslims also. Of course they will go there if they live pure life: no meat eating, non violence, no illicit things...same rules as Devotees do and if they chant the Holy Names of Jesus Christ and Allah.

Heavenly planets are those which we seen above our heads in the sky: stars, Sun, Moon...and many others which we do not see.

See, problem accrues when Holy scriptures are not properly saved and misinterpreted. So many unclear things. We can not trust even Bhagavad Gita translated by anyone. So many speculations in this way with other Holy Books.

So there should be proper parampara and we have to read book from that parampara.

Other wise information won't be correct.

    Your servant,
