As stated in the Vedic literature,tisro varṇānupūrvyeṇa dve tathaikā yathā-kramambrāhmaṇa-kṣatriya-viśāṁ bhāryāḥ svāḥ śūdra-janmanaḥ

Simple answer to your question is: No, there is nothing wrong in marrying a girl who is older to the boy.

Krsna conscious is not about giving rules and regulations relating to marriage or being single. These are the decisions the individual has to take depending on his/her situations and circumstances.

From a KC point of view, one has to determine what/which is favorable to progress in the path of bhakthi. Any decision that brings one closer to krsna (even if its full of hurdles/difficulties) that would be ideal. Any decision that would take one away from krsna (even if its bed of roses) then it should be rejected.

Initially, its hard for us to comprehend to give up things that we feel ideal or enjoy. But once we keep our sadhana steady and realise the pleasure we get from serving krsna then He will guide us (as supersoul) on what is ideal and we just accept it because thats what krsna wants.

So, if a boy marrying an older girl would assist the boy towards krsna, then that can be taken, else it has to be rejected.

SB 11.17.39 — One who desires to establish family life should marry a wife of his own caste, who is beyond reproach and younger in age. If one desires to accept many wives he must marry them after the first marriage, and each wife should be of a successively lower caste.

Marriage based on body attraction never brings happiness, but marriage based on dharma principles considers auspicious .

Those who are religious should always consult qualified spiritual teacher or jyotish brahmana about that issue, otherwise person can face miserable family life.
