• Hare Krsna!

    Please accept my humble obeisances.

    All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Thank you for your time. I find your answer very offensive. This discussion is closed on this platform.

You have prejudice and so eventually wrote things without having any factual idea that who the other individual is. So the result is quite speculative and offensive. I teach SB to my family, to my husband, and I have a son whom I am raising with Krsna Consciousness so I don't want that any single subject remain unexplained in SB where they can ask question, when I am teaching them celibacy, intoxication, austerity etc. I have big responsibility on my shoulders.

Yes, I kindly forgive you (you asked for it, please on't misunderstood) and thank you for your time again.

    Your aspiring servant,

  • Hare Krsna Garutman Prabhu

That is well explained with reference to the context.

Illicit sex falls under the category of Adverse fruitive activities and Lord Kapila very well describes what happens when one does that.

    Text 28 of chapter 30

Men and women whose lives were built upon indulgence in illicit sex life are put into many kinds of miserable conditions in the hells known as Tamisra, Andha Tamisra and Raurava.

Also the austerities performed by Kardama Muni before he created his flying mansion was also shared by Devahuti. These are not recommended for this age. Nonetheless Kardama Muni was able to completely renounce family life even after indulging in so called extended sense pleasure.

Meat eating and gambling however is very common in this age. So it is recommended to refrain from these activities along with intoxication and illicit sex which are also very rampant.

Also the eternally liberated devotees are not bound by the rules and regulations of the scriptures. Lord Kapila is not obliged to set an example either. He may do so out of his own sweet will.

I hope you don't get very stuck on some point but continue to patiently read these chapters.

    In our humble opinion.

There is hardly a devotee who knows these subjects beyond what is given in the Srimad Bhagavatam by Srila Prabhupada.

"In order to understand a great mystery one must first study all its aspects.. "

Also Devahuti and Kardama Muni are not ordinary persons. Devahuti was to be instructed by his grace Lord Kapila on a wide range of subjects including the nature of "adverse fruitive activities" by his grace Lord Kapila in the 30th chapter of 3rd Canto.

Please bear with the shortcomings as you gain the self insight as you proceed in sequence through the chapters of Srimad Bhagavatam.
