About honour of women

A socialist told with reference to this verse of gita (9:32) "

O son of Påthä, those who take shelter in Me, though they be of lower
birth—women, vaiçyas [merchants] and çüdras [workers]—can attain the
supreme destination." that in gita Lord Krishna consider women as lower birth as vaicyas and cudras although they birth in a bhraman family and ithe next verse Lord krishna  told about bhramman , saintly kings like that women can't be a bhraman. I want to the real fact about that from a iskcon guru or from one who received right knowledge about it.

Vedas, subject matter of Vedas is so difficult. Strī-śūdra-dvija-bandhūnāṁ trayī na śruti-gocarāḥ (SB 1.4.25). For women, for śūdras, and for the dvija bandhu. They cannot understand what is Vedas.
    Lecture on BG 2.7 -- London, August 7, 1973:

Who requires a guru? Guru's not a fashion. "Oh, I have got a guru. I shall make a guru." Guru means one who's serious. Tasmād guruṁ prapadyeta. One has to seek out a guru. Why? Jijñāsu śreya uttamam. One who is inquisitive of the Supreme. Not guru make a fashion. Just like we keep a dog, fashion. Similarly, we keep a guru. That is not guru karma (?). "Guru will act according to my decision." Not like that. Guru means one who can give you Kṛṣṇa. That is guru. Kṛṣṇa sei tomāra. Because Kṛṣṇa is guru. That is stated in the Brahma-saṁhitā. Vedeṣu durlabhaṁ adurlabhaṁ ātma-bhaktau (Bs. 5.33). Vedeṣu durlabhaṁ. If you want to search out... Although Vedas means knowledge, and the ultimate knowledge is to understand Kṛṣṇa. Vedaiś ca sarvair aham eva vedyam (BG 15.15). This is the instruction. So if you independently wants to study Vedas, just, there is, there are some rascals... They say: "We understand only Vedas." What do you understand Veda? How you'll understand Veda? So Vedas says, tad vijñānārthaṁ sa gurum eva abhigacchet (MU 1.2.12). You'll understand Vedas by taking one, purchasing one Vedas book, or taking it, you'll understand Vedas? Vedānta is not so cheap thing. Without becoming a brāhmaṇa, nobody can understand a Veda, what is Veda. Therefore, it is restricted. Without becoming brāhmaṇa, nobody is allowed to study Vedas. It's all nonsense. What you'll understand about the Vedas? Therefore Vyāsadeva, after compiling the four Vedas, dividing the four Vedas, he made Mahābhārata. Because the Vedas, subject matter of Vedas is so difficult. Strī-śūdra-dvija-bandhūnāṁ trayī na śruti-gocarāḥ (SB 1.4.25). For women, for śūdras, and for the dvija bandhu. They cannot understand what is Vedas. So all these rascal dvija-bandhus and śūdras, they want to study Vedas. No, that is not possible. One has to become first of all situated in the brahminical qualification, satyaṁ śamo damas titiksva ārjavaṁ jñānaṁ vijñānam āstikyaṁ brahma karma sva-bhāva... (BG 18.42). Then touch Veda. Otherwise, what you'll understand Vedas? Nonsense. Therefore, Vedas says: tad vijñānārthaṁ sa gurum (MU 1.2.12). You must approach a guru to understand Veda. And what is that Veda? Vedaiś ca sarvair aham eva vedyam (BG 15.15). The Vedas means, to study Vedas means to understand Kṛṣṇa. And surrender unto Him. This is Vedic knowledge. Where Arjuna says that: prapannam. "Now I am surrender unto You. I am now no more going to talk with You on equal level just as if I know so many things." He was right, but he was thinking on the material platform. He was thinking that praduṣyanti kula-striyaḥ (BG 1.40). If everyone... This is material point. But Vedic knowledge is spiritual, uttamam. Tasmād guruṁ prapadyeta jijñāsu śreya uttamam (SB 11.3.21). Uttamam. This śreya. Uttamam. Yac chreya syāt niścitaṁ. Fixed-up. There is, there is no question of changing. That instruction is now, will be given by Kṛṣṇa. Sarva-dharmān parityaja mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja. And this takes place—bahūnāṁ janmanām ante jñānavān māṁ prapadyate (BG 7.19).

So therefore in order to achieve the highest, goal of life, one should fully surrender to Kṛṣṇa or His representative. Then his life is successful.

    TRANSLATION
Çré Caitanya Mahäprabhu then said, "Guëaräja Khän of Kuléna-gräma compiled a book named Çré Kåñëa-vijaya in which there is a sentence revealing the author's ecstatic love of Kåñëa."
    PURPORT
Çré Kåñëa-vijaya is a book of poems considered to be the first poetry book written in Bengal. Çréla Bhaktisiddhänta Sarasvaté Öhäkura states that this book was compiled in the year 1395 çakäbda (A.D. 1474). After seven years, it was completed (1402 çakäbda). This book was written in plain language, and even half-educated Bengalis and women could read it very clearly. Even ordinary men with little knowledge of the alphabet could read this book and understand it. Its language is not very ornamental, and sometimes the poetry is not very sweet to hear. Although according to the sonnet style each line should contain fourteen syllables, there are sometimes sixteen, twelve and thirteen syllables in his verse. Many words used in those days could be understood only by local inhabitants, yet this book is still so popular that no book store is complete without it. It is very valuable for those who are interested in advancing in Kåñëa consciousness.
Çré Guëaräja Khän was one of the topmost Vaiñëavas, and he has translated the Tenth and Eleventh Cantos of Çrémad-Bhägavatam for the understanding of the common man. The book Çré Kåñëa-vijaya was highly praised by Çré Caitanya Mahäprabhu, and it is very valuable for all Vaiñëavas. Çréla Bhaktisiddhänta Sarasvaté Öhäkura gives a genealogical table and family history of Guëaräja Khän. When a Bengali emperor named Ädiçüra first came from Känyakubja, or Känowj, he brought with him five brähmaëas and five käyasthas. Since the king is supposed to be accompanied by his associates, the brähmaëas accompanied the King to help him in higher spiritual matters. The käyasthas were to render other services. In the northern Indian high country, the käyasthas are accepted as çüdras, but in Bengal the käyasthas are considered among the higher castes. It is a fact that the käyasthas came to Bengal from northern India, specifically from Känyakubja, or Känowj. Çréla Bhaktisiddhänta Sarasvaté Öhäkura says that the käyasthas who came from Känyakubja were high-class men. Of them, Daçaratha Vasu was a great personality, and the thirteenth generation of his family included Guëaräja Khän.
His real name was Mälädhara Vasu, but the title Khän was given to him by the Emperor of Bengal. Thus he became known as Guëaräja Khän. Bhaktisiddhänta Sarasvaté Öhäkura gives the following genealogical table of Guëaräja Khän: (1) Daçaratha Vasu; (2) Kuçala; (3) Çubhaçaìkara; (4) Haàsa; (5) Çaktiräma (Bägäëòä), Muktiräma (Mäinagara) and Alaìkära (Baìgaja); (6) Dämodara; (7) Anantaräma; (8) Guëénäyaka and Véëänäyaka. The twelfth generation included Bhagératha, and the thirteenth Mälädhara Vasu, or Guëaräja Khän. Çré Guëaräja Khän had fourteen sons, of whom the second son, Lakñménäthavasu, received the title Satyaräja Khän. His son was Çré Rämänanda Vasu; therefore Rämänanda Vasu belonged to the fifteenth generation. Guëaräja Khän was a very well known and wealthy man. His palace, fort and temples are still existing, and from these we can deduce that the opulence of Guëaräja Khän was certainly very great. Çré Guëaräja Khän never cared for the artificial aristocracy introduced by Balläl Sena.

YES, WOMEN(GENERALLY) WERE NOT ALLOWED TO READ VEDAS BECAUSE THEY DID NOT UNDERGO DVIJA CEREMONY.

BUT THEY LEARNT FROM HUSBAND. THEY FOLLOWED. BUT FOR DEVOTEES THESE RESTRICTIONS ARE NOT IMPORTANT. DEVOTEES CAN READ GREAT MERCIFUL SCRIPTURES LIKE SRIMAD BHAGAVATAM, BHAGAVAD GITA, ETC.

ALSO, VEDAS GENERALLY MEAN KARMA KANDA AND JNANA KANDA. IF THERE IS LITTLE MISTAKE, WHOLE EFFORT IS SPOILED. SO, WOMEN WERE NOT ALLOWED TO READ THEM. OFCOURSE, TODAY DEVOTEES CAN READ THEM BECAUSE OF MERCY OF LORD CHAITANYA.

For less intelligent men there must be such things as temples, mosques or churches so that they may begin to recognize the authority of the Lord and hear about Him from authorities in such holy places.
    SB 1.8.19, Purport:

All our senses are imperfect. We claim to observe everything and anything, but we must admit that we can observe things under certain material conditions only, which are also beyond our control. The Lord is beyond the observation of sense perception. Queen Kuntī accepts this deficiency of the conditioned soul, especially of the woman class, who are less intelligent. For less intelligent men there must be such things as temples, mosques or churches so that they may begin to recognize the authority of the Lord and hear about Him from authorities in such holy places. For less intelligent men, this beginning of spiritual life is essential, and only foolish men decry the establishment of such places of worship, which are required to raise the standard of spiritual attributes for the mass of people. For less intelligent persons, bowing down before the authority of the Lord, as generally done in the temples, mosques or churches, is as beneficial as it is for the advanced devotees to meditate upon Him by active service.

    HOPING YOUR DOUBTS ARE CLEARED

STRICTLY SPEAKING ACCORDING TO MATERIAL BODY, WOMEN CAN BE GENERALISED AS LESS INTELLIGENT. BUT KRISHNA CONSCIOUSNESS OR BHAKTI YOGA IS BESTOWED BY MERCY OF GURU, GAURANGA, VAISHNAVAS AND LORD HIMSELF. BUT IN KARMA, JNANA, YOGA, WOMEN ARE NOT REALLY SUPERIOR. IN KARMA THEY MAY BE NOWADAYS BUT STILL CONSCIOUSNESS IS DIFFERENT FOR DIFFERENT MATERIAL BODIES OF A SOUL.

    • Thank you provu. Actually i don't think about this. i am happy to remember krishna. But as we live in such society we have to ans that thing.
