1.Lord Shiva is a great Vaishnava(Vaishnavam jatha Shambhu) then why do he take Intoxicants(like Bhang,ganja) which are not the characteristics of a Vaishnava.(N.B. 4 regulative principles)
2.Garudji is also a great devotee of Lord Vishnu but why he eats Snakes?(Non-Vegetarian)

yes, Dwaipayan Prabhu, and we should not imitate Lord Shiva also. He drank ocean of poison to help Devas to get the nectar. If we can drink as much poison and stay alive then we can do what he does but if we can not then no need even to think of it.
We do not use drugs because we can not control ourselves and become addicted to them but Lord Shiva is not an ordinary living being.
For example, when Lord Krisha showed His Universal Form to Arjuna, Arjuna saw how all Kurus were being eaten by Lord then we will criticize or imitate Lord saying that he is a man eater ...? No!
