MAYA & OBSTACLES ARE SUB-SERVANT OF KRISHNA.

When we say we are devotee or when we start practicing KRISHNA CONCIOUSNESS, then MAYA DEVI takes our examination at various stages. Remember these exams are taken to ELEVATE the devotee from lower platform to higher platform.

I am advised by my "shiksha guru" at times of any obstacles or when Maya tries to bewilder a devotee, one is needed to immediately take "SHELTER OF KRISHNA".

So isnt MAYA or Obstacles are good, as it can remind you of KRISHNA immediately.

One needs mercy of KRISHNA so as to take his shelter at time of problems, as without his mercy one cannot even remember him.

I am myself a fallen soul & I need blessings of all the devotees here reading this text. Please pray for me so that I can remember Krishna all the time. I pray to you because all the devotees are VAISHNAV's and are very close to KRISHNA as they practice KC very seriously.

Shravan and Manojkumar Bhika gave you a very nice reply. all glories to these devotees.

When a person start to chant the Maha-Mantra or when a person enter a Hare Krishna temple, that person will attract the mind if maya-devi. Durga-devi will start to wach this person or devotee very closely with her tridandi. Knowingly she will wait when this devotee will make a fault.

When a devotee offend another devotee, vaisnava-aparatha, Dhama-aparatha, templeroom-aparatha,etc. she immediatly will threw her tridandi in the hart of such a devotee. Covered once again by material desires that devotee will fall down. She will retreat her tridandi when the devotee ask very humbly the offended devotee to forgive him.

So, to keep distance with Durga-devi or Maya-devi, we should avoid making offences.

I hope with my whole heart that I have offended no one with this reply.

The words mām eva are also significant. Mām means unto Kṛṣṇa (Viṣṇu) only, and not Brahmā or Śiva. Although Brahmā and Śiva are greatly elevated and are almost on the level of Viṣṇu, it is not possible for such incarnations of rajo-guṇa (passion) and tamo-guṇa (ignorance) to release the conditioned soul from the clutches of māyā. In other words, both Brahmā and Śiva are also under the influence of māyā. Only Viṣṇu is the master of māyā; therefore He alone can give release to the conditioned soul. The Vedas (Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣad 3.8) confirm this in the phrase tam eva viditvā, or "Freedom is possible only by understanding Kṛṣṇa." Even Lord Śiva affirms that liberation can be achieved only by the mercy of Viṣṇu. Lord Śiva says, mukti-pradātā sarveṣāṁ viṣṇur eva na saṁśayaḥ: "There is no doubt that Viṣṇu is the deliverer of liberation for everyone."
(Bhagavad-Gita----7:14----purport).

Maya is like Shadow. When you are in the Light (Krishna), you cannot see or have the shadow on you. By being in association of Krishna, we can keep distance from Maya.

We practice (about 2 hours of) Association of Krishna everyday (16 attentive rounds). Thats the promise one makes when we get initiated, (becomes a begginer) in the path of devotional service to Krishna.

Maya is more powerful than us. Any time, we think that we have overcome Maya, is an indication that we are IN Maya and that's why we are thinking like that.
