On the flight to Sydney, Prabhupada carefully carried the bouquet that little Janaka had given him. A dozen Sydney devotees greeted Prabhupada and his party in transit with the sweet fragrance of burning incense, an exuberant kirtana, a large, fragrant garland of jonquils and sandalwood paste applied to Prabhupada's forehead with a pink rose.
The devotees escorted Srila Prabhupada to the press lounge, where they had arranged an interview with a reporter from The Sydney Morn

Srila Prabhupada sat softly chanting japa in the lounge at Melbourne airport. His adoring disciples sat around him on the floor. Prabhupada's flight to mainland America via Hawaii was due to depart from Sydney. When it was time to board the connecting flight, Prabhupada took the escalator up to the departure area, followed by the devotees sweetly chanting in kirtana.

After taking his lunch, Prabhupada made preparations to leave. Madhudvisa had invited the full-time book distributors to the house for a final darsana, and they sat, eager for some last-minute instructions. Madhudvisa introduced the devotees one by one. Srila Prabhupada spoke briefly, thanking the young boys and girls for their book distribution efforts, urging them to not only distribute his books, but also to read them. Prabhupada's mood was encouraging, but grave.

Srila Prabhupada's last brisk walk in the Botanic Gardens before he left Melbourne was an animated one. The pre-dawn mist was chilly and Prabhupada's long, orange scarf was well-wrapped around his head. Prabhupada's party edged down the sloping paths to a fern gully that wound around an old creek course in the heart of the gardens. The area was thick with ground ferns, tree ferns and subtropical vegetation. The air was particularly damp. Rh
Dipak had just developed some photographs of the Sydney temple in Double Bay, which Prabhupada had not visited. He was eager to show them. At an appropriate break in the conversation, Dipak placed them on the table in front of Srila Prabhupada who scrutinised them one by one.
Srila Prabhupada: Hmm. Nice pictures. In Sydney, the Radha-Krsna Deity is also nice, very nice. What is this?
Dipak: These are our tulasi plants, Srila Prabhupada. They grow very nicely.

More devotees crowded into the room. Since Prabhupada would be leaving for America the next day, this was the last chance devotees would get to be with their spiritual master.
Flowers and gifts piled up on the table as newly arrived devotees offered their obeisances. Tusta Krsna entered, now with shaved head and fully dressed in sannyasa garb. Prabhupada smiled affectionately.
"So, coming to your senses. Yes. So you are all good boys. I think we should work together for th
Prabhupada felt enlivened from his talk with the scientists, and spent a large part of the afternoon speaking on various science-related topics to devotees in his room. At one stage Madhudvisa introduced Srila Prabhupada to his disciple Lagudi, a former racehorse trainer who had now adopted the life of a brahmacari in the Sydney temple. Originally from Yugoslavia and in the process of translating Srila Prabhupada's Sri Isopanisad into his mother tongue, Lagudi wondered whether Krsna c
Madhudvisa had arranged for a tour of the beachside church property. In the morning, after breakfast, the devotees accompanied Srila Prabhupada there and were shown around by a real estate agent and some elderly nuns. The devotees noticed how Prabhupada respectfully held his palms together before the elaborate stained glass windows of the chapel, asking the nuns innocently: "Is this Jesus?" "Is this Mary?" And when Prabhupada reached the altar area, he bowed his head reverently.

Verse: Srimad Bhagavatam 2.3.21
“Bharah param patta-kirita-justam Apy uttamangam na namen mukundam Savau karau no kurute saparyam Harer lasat-kancana-kankanau va”
Translation: The upper portion of the body, though crowned with a silk turban, is only a heavy burden if not bowed down before the Personality of Godhead, who can award mukti [freedom]. And the hands, though decorated with glittering bangles, are like those of a dead man if not engaged in the service of the Personality of Godhead, Hari.

Soon the influx of many more devotees from around the world will converge in Sree Dham Mayapur to experience perhaps the most memorable kirtan event in ISKCON history, perhaps since the time of Narottama Das Thakur. Do you want to tell your grandchildren you were there? We think, yes!
So to make this possible for you, there is a free camping site proposed for the Kirtan Mela - but only if you let us know you want it. If you don't let us know, the facilities will not be built. If you would like to
So at the present moment, people are becoming implicated with Maya more and more because foolishly they are thinking that "I am now very comfortable. I have got this skyscraper building. I have got so much bank balance. I have got so nice wife. So I am comfortable." They are thinking like that. They do not know that it is not comfortable life. It is dangerous life because you have to change your body.
Therefore it is always dangerous. To enjoy in this material life is dangerous because you are cr
ISKCON’s top managing authority, the Governing Body Commission, continues its efforts to put a face on itself and connect more with the general devotee public with a new website, gbc.iskcon.org, launched at 1pm Mayapur time on Friday February 10th.
“There has been a lack of easily available information about the GBC the structure, who the members are, what their particular services are, and what their plans are for ISKCON's future,” says ISKCON Communications Director Anuttama Dasa. “The new webs

Appointment with Krishna 6/12
(Compiled from notes on lectures of H. H. Mahavishnu Goswami)
We continue with the topic "Appointment with Krishna", the wonderful nectarean instructions flowing from the lotus mouth of our beloved Gurudeva without any cessation. We are very fortunate to have Maharaj’s association again as he was returning back from London to Nasik via Abu Dhabi. Maharaja was to change flights in Abu Dhabi in two hours time ga
