A photo of Phalguni Radhika dasi during her wedding ceremony to Deva Madhava das.

Based on an interview with Felicity O’rourke
(Excerpt from “Mysteries of the Ancient Vedic Empire”)

If we do a comparative study, we can recognize numerous aspects of the Vedic culture, Krishna consciousness, in many of the Native American traditions. In order to show this, I conducted an interview with Felicity O’rourke who is a member of the Anishnaabi Native American tribe. She is now a practicing Vaishnava and

Nowadays the great innovations of medical and scientific science can maintain patients alive, even those that in the past were given no hope to survive. These innovations can prolong the patient’s existence artificially even knowing that they will never regain acceptable health and life conditions. This situation is commonly called over-medication. The definition of cerebral death, since the end of the sixties has allowed for the development of transplant surgery. Before that time, the extracti

Now I would like to hear from You the glories of the Ekadasi that occurs during the dark fortnight (krishna paksha) of the month of Shravana (July -August).
Oh Govindadeva, please be merciful to me and explain its glories.
Oh Supreme Vasudeva, I offer my most humble obeisances unto You.

There is nothing as beautiful as pure love–the pure love between the Lord and the devotee, the pure love between the spiritual master and disciple, the pure love between pure souls. Such love was the subject of the class I gave on Sunday, January 17, at Bhaktivedanta Manor, in conjunction with the five hundredth anniversary of Lord Caitanya’s sannyasa:

We read from Sri Caitanya-caritamrta, Adi-lila, Chapter One: “The Spiritual Masters.”

Why there is evil in the world?

The world has become so evil on account of rejecting God. If someone rejects God that person is considered to be a demon & obviously demons are evil, they are lusty. When their isatiable lust is not fulfilled they become greedy which leads to anger and because of there anger they are ready to do anything to satisfy their anger.

Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita 16.8: They say that this world is unreal, with no foundation, no God in control. They say it is produced of sex desire and no cause other tha

Lost Soul was homeless. He rarely spoke, but He listened to Crip. Crip was Lost Soul’s close friend. The nights were long and there was always fear or danger on the streets. “Got your back,” Crip said. He made plans for survival; meanwhile L. Soul grew sullen.

The two other companions to Lost Soul were Mind and Senses. Together they crouched in the doorways of abandoned buildings. Mind talked gibberish to distract Soul from his plight.

But it was Senses who served as L. Soul’s best distraction.

From Back to Godhead

Krishna is always engaged in sport, and when we try to imitate Him, we lose.

When the 2017 Super Bowl game, the summit of American professional football, was held in Houston, a devotee convinced me and a few others to try to distribute Srila Prabhupada’s books at a huge pregame event downtown. Venturing into the passionate, teeming crowd, we sold a few books, but not so many. This experience reinforced what was already obvious: mundane sport certainly has a powerful

Accident By Suvyakta Narasimha Dasa

2515256035?profile=original

I looked at my watch as I stepped out of the show room in Agra. It was 9.30 in the night. I winced. It would take us more than an hour to reach Vrindavan. We had to get up for mangala arati again the next morning.

By Suvyakta Narasimha Dasa

We had come to Agra to pick up some things for the upcoming project in Vrindavan, since they were not available there. Things were going on at a frenetic pace and devotees were working over time. We were compelled to come to Agra even though it was late. But

A wishful thought

I have no love for Krishna in my heart,

I can not see Guru as Krishna,

I judge everyone except, of course, my own self

my eyes are anointed with many material desires,

yet I carry a hope in the heart ...

that some day a Vaisanava would bless me by mistake...

and I would be a dust particle on the way

where Krishna returns back home every evening in Vrindavan Dhama !

This year we had the largest gathering for the Dublin Ratha Yatra ever! It was a truly wonderful day beginning with lively kirtan as Lord Jagannatha ascended His chariot. 30 minutes later we were hearing the 1st citizen of Dublin waxing lyrical about how once he learned he would be attending today, he was eagerly awaiting the opportunity to help pull the Lord’s chariot! An avid walker and long term abstentionist from motorised vehicles, he was very impressed with such a grand vehicle having no

The all merciful Lord Sri Gaur Hari, as He travelled from village to village throughout the south of India, continued to distribute love of Godhead wherever He went. Hearing the nectarean names of Hari from His lotus mouth, thousands and thousands men and women felt relief from the blazing fire of material existence. Various wretched, miserable and fallen souls lives were completely rejuvenated and thus they became virtuous and happy. While causing rains of love of God to fall anywhere and ever

Central Point of Bhagavad Gita

2515258821?profile=original

Instead of satisfying one’s own personal material senses, one has to satisfy the senses of the Lord. That is the highest perfection of life. The Lord wants this, and He demands it. One has to understand this central point of Bhagavad-gītā. (Bhagavad Gita As it is, Preface)
