Thus the inhabitants of Vrindavana rise and pursue that sound, drinking the showering nectar of Krishna's bodily luster like thirsty Chatak birds.” (Chaitanya Charitamrita, Antya 19.42)

Question: “Krishna is often depicted holding and playing a flute. Is there any special significance to this flute?”

Answer: There are certainly different forms of the original Persona

Bhagavan Sri Krishna's Beauty

Bhagavan Sri .Krishna's beauty is described in numerous prayers, poems, and portions of the Vedic literature. So we could provide many verses that describe this aspect of Krishna . An example of this is found when Lord Brahma relates Bhagavan Krishna's form in the many verses of his Brahma-samhita . He also explains the beauty of Sri Krishna in his prayers that he directly offered to the Bhagavan in Srimad Bhagavatam. He says " Bhagavan Krishna's body is dark blue like a new cloud. His garments

Seven Purposes of ISKCON

His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada incorporated the International Society for Krishna Consciousness in 1966 with seven explicit purposes. This list of purposes (below) was one of the official documents incorporating ISKCON as a charitable organization. At the time, the movement had few followers in the West and was operating out of a rented storefront in New York City. One of the pressing needs at the time was to facilitate donors who wanted to give tax-deductible donations to

Krsna is our only shelter

Everyone needs shelter in this world. We know this very well. Today it was shelter from the heat and sometimes it is shelter from the cold. Shelter from dangers in the world – always SHELTER, SHELTER, SHELTER!But where is our shelter other than at Krsna’s lotus feet. There is no other shelter. Everything else is illusory shelter. We feel secure when we lock the doors but then someone else also has the keys – so what security is there anyway. Real security and shelter is found in Krsna and that’s

Gopis' Love For Sri Krishna

Introduction

The heart of Hinduism is God-Love, or devotional worship of the Divine Person. And such worship finds its greatest raditional expression in the devotional love relationship between Krishna, the Avatar or Divine Incarnation, and the gopis, the cowherd-maidens of the village of Brindaban. Krishna, the very embodiment of Bliss and Love on Earth, is said to have lived in ecstatic play with hundreds of gopis for a number of years. As their spiritual master and lover, he taught them the es

Krishna-The All Attractive!

fdd.jpgWe have so many false shelters.
My family gives me protection, fallible solders what kind of protection can they give us?
My money will protect me - and then you get some economical crises or suddenly your bank has gone bankrupted and you lose your money or it has no more value.
Like that what security is there in this world?
No security. Simply our only security is Krishna.

The sweet, attractive transcendental form of Krsna is so

nice. Just try to understand it. Even a fractional understanding of Krsna's

beauty can merge all three worlds in the ocean of love. He attracts all the

living entities within the three worlds.

Ornaments caress that body, but the transcendental body of Krsna is so

beautiful that it beautifies the ornaments He wears. Therefore Krsna's body is

said to be the ornament of ornaments. Despite the wonderful beauty of Krsna,

there is His three-curved styl

What Mahabharata says about Krishna's body ?

"Lord Krishna's body does not consist of elemental objects. The man who takes the body of Lord Krishna as material is worth prohibiting from all ritualistic activities, that is to say, he should have no right to make sacrifices in the rituals. Not only this, one, who sees such man's face, should purge himself by bathing along with his clothes on".

Love or Lust—What’s the Difference?

The reciprocation of love between Radha and Krishna is the essence of spiritual love. Because Krishna is the origin of everything, He is the origin of love also. The attraction between boys and girls in the material world is a perverted reflection of the purely spiritual relationship between Radha and Krishna or Jivatman and Paramatman. One who thinks he can be happy through material sexual enjoyment cannot understand the relationship between Radha and Krishna; and, conversely, if one hears abou

Krishna is the Supreme Lord

TA0046

Krishna is the Supreme Person, the Godhead. Krishna is the speaker of the Bhagavad-gita, which is recognized throughout the world as one of mankind’s greatest books of wisdom. In the Gita, as it is also known, Krishna says repeatedly that He is God Himself, the source of everything. Arjuna, to whom Krishna is speaking, accepts Krishna’s words as true, adding that the greatest spiritual authorities of that time also confirm that Krishna is God.

Traditions that follow in the line of these authoriti

GURU

Guru

2514812965?profile=original

Two things are necessary for a beautifully finished sculpture. One is a strong piece of marble and the second is the expert sculptor. The piece of marble should but unconditionally remain in the hands of the sculptor, in order to be carved and chiselled into the fine image. The seeker placing himself under the expert guidance of a fully realized Guru, will allow to be carved out and chiselled into the image of perfection. It is also absolutely necessary for the disciple to purify himself thr

Any glorious or beautiful existence should be understood to be but a
