I had the chance to attend a japa retreat held in upstate New York last spring. It was one of the first retreats to be held in North America as part of an initiative from Iskcon's SSPT.

We should never forget that our business is to engage in devotional service 24 hours a day. Prabhupada used to say that when the devotee goes to sleep, he dreams about Krishna. This way the devotee is always engaged in the process of devotional service.
