For Srila Prabhupada's Vyasa-puja this year, I wish to tell you about his
dear friend and staunch devotee Mr. P. L. Sethi. Much of what I shall
narrate I experienced personally; the rest I heard from Mr. Sethi, except
the description of his last days, which I heard from his family. May this
story inspire you in Srila Prabhupada's service--in Krishna consciousness.
When Srila Prabhupada first came to Bombay with his disciples from America,
Mr. Sethi read a notice about them in the newspaper, which said
Yes, anything that is medically necessary can be taken even on Ekadasi.
This is because the higher principle than to observe Ekadasi 100% strictly is to do whatever it takes to keep body, mind, and everything else fit for service to Krishna.
The scriptural context is explained by Rupa Goswami as follows:
anasaktasya vishayan
yatharham upayunjatah
nirbandhah krishna-sambandhe
yuktam vairagyam ucyate
prapancikataya buddhya
hari-sambandhi-vastunah
mumukshubhih parityago
vairagyam phalgu kathyate

Prabhupada gave some general hints on how his books should be approached. Srila Prabhupada said they should not be read haphazardly. The purports can be likened to the compositions of Mozart, Beethoven, or Bach. To an uneducated ear, they appear to be all the same, but to a student of musicology, each composition has his own particular style. Each purport is similarly constructed in its own way and can be appreciated and learned. Although we may tend to think that the purports are repetitious,
Glorifying Krishna twenty-four hours a day is insufficient time to even begin to properly cover His glories. Krishna's glories are so unlimited that even if there were an unlimited number of reporters writing an infinite number of stories about His activities, teachings, and qualities, they could never in all of eternity even come close to scratching the surface of even the most insignificant fraction of an infinitesimal fragment of His glories.
But at the same time Krishna is very accessible.
How our Bhakti should be ?
Bhakti should be animitta – without motive. Actually, Krishna can fulfill all our wishes without difficulty because He is Almighty and full of all opulences. If we want material happiness from Krishna, it is certainly not difficult for Him to grant it. He can also give Mukti – liberation – but it is foolishness to ask anything from Krishna except Bhakti. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura used to say that asking God for mukti or anything else other than Bhakti
Hare Krishna.

Namaste or namaskar is the Indian way of greeting each other. Namaste and its common variants namaskar, namaskaara or namaskaram, is one of the five forms of formal traditional greeting mentioned in the Vedas.
Offering Pranam soothes and rejuvenates the body and mind. The feeling and intensity of repect and humility lingers and grows when practiced as daily ritual.
A Hindu expresses reverence to God by joining the palms and bowing the head. This ritual is called Pranam. It is also a gesture of g

Question to Radhanath Swami: I am growing in everything I have taken up in life, but my spiritual practice seems to be stagnant. How can I advance?
Radhanath Swami Answers: To advance spiritually you have to discipline yourself. Like a doctor in order to get his degree goes through, years and years of discipline. So if you want to be successful in any field of activity, you must be disciplined and the same applies to spirituality.
Today people discipline themselves in every other avenue of life bu
Why is She so much in love with Me ? - from Caitanya Caritamrita - Adi Lila
The above quote is by Lord Krishna Himself...that is part of the following, from Srila Prabhupada's Caitanya Caritamrita, Adi Lila:
Radha and Krsna are one, and when Krsna desires to enjoy pleasure, He manifests Himself as Radharani. The spiritual exchange of love between Radha and Krsna is the actual display of the internal pleasure potency of Krsna. Although we speak of "when" Krsna desires, just when He did desire we
One should aspire to chant the Hare Krsna mantra constantly:
In our Krsna consciousness movement we are teaching our followers to
chant the Hare Krsna mantra continuously on beads. Even those who are
not accustomed to this practice are advised to chant at least sixteen
rounds on their beads so that they may be trained. Otherwise, Sri
Caitanya Mahaprabhu recommended:

A devotee always has a taste for chanting Hare Krsna:
There is a verse in which Srila Rupa Gosvami says, avyartha-kalatvam:
[Cc. Madhya 23.18-19] a devotee should be very much careful to see
whether his time is being spent unnecessarily. He should ask himself,
"Am I now engaged in maya's service or Krsna's service?" This is a
symptom of an advanced devotee. Nama-gane sada rucih: such a devotee
is never tired of chanting, singing, or dancing. The word sada means
"always," and ruci means "taste." A devot
In one sense, everything there is, animate, inanimate, is a manifestation of Krishna - "mattah parataram naanyat kinchid asti dhananjaya" BG7.7, and yet there is a difference between Krishna and His emanations of various qualities "aham sarvasya prabhavo, mattah sarvam pravartate" BG 10.8.
This sounds like an apparent contradiction, however this is where the inconceivable mercy of Lord Krishna Chaitanya comes to save us. He showed us how the Lord is inconceivable, and how He is simultaneously one
