Thought Of The Day

Prabhupada: That is misfortune. Ignorance means misfortune. The unfortunate persons are those who are ignorant, uneducated. Therefore you have to take education to become fortunate. And that education is being imparted by Krsna, but you don't take it. That is misfortune. If you take education from Krsna, you become fortunate. So why don't you take it? Krsna has said this very thing.

When confronted with adversities we look towards God and hope that he will change the situation as per our own liking. We expect God to do a magic in our life. But we see that in case of Arjuna the external situations and circumstances always remained the same. When Arjuna was utterly confused, he beseeched Krishna to show him the right path. “Now I am confused about my duty and have lost all composure because of miserly weakness. In this condition I am asking You to tell me for certain what is

"Bhaktivedanta Swami will take me"

Atma Tattva: In the early ‘80s in Bangalore, I was required to make at least two Life Members a month. I was a bad Life Membership maker and one month I had only ten days left. I want to come and see you today.” Mr.

The Lord helps the falling living entity glide down to the lowest point, just to give him the chance to see if he is happy by misusing his independence.
Almost all the conditioned souls who are rotting in the material world are misusing their independence, and therefore five kinds of nescience are imposed upon them.

Utilization of Time

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Garden Conversation -- Los Angeles, June 10, 1976 - Just like we are reading this Bhagavatam; it is proper utilization of time. Similarly, if we take some newspaper, some statement of the politics, and talk and argue and waste time, there is no need of such thing. I think in our institution there is no newspaper. That is one advantage. In the Western countries, newspaper is very popular thing, a huge bundle of newspaper.

Devotees Chanting Hare Krishna in a Street Procession in Florence

Asatī means a woman who has become a prostitute. A prostitute has no reputation for good womanly qualities. Similarly, the tongue, which is given to the human being for chanting the Vedic hymns, will be considered a prostitute if it is engaged in the matter of chanting some mundane nonsense.” [SB 2.3.

Are we still spiritually blind?

The message and the messenger was the same but still two different people interpreted it in different ways. Arjuna heard the message of Gita from Krishna directly and Dhritarashtra heard from Sanjay, his assistant. After hearing the wisdom words Arjuna’s life completely got transformed, his all doubts got dispelled and he became ready to face the battle of life.  But in spite of hearing the astute words of Krishna, Dhritarashtra remained spiritually blind. His desire to enjoy the kingdom overpow

She was full of energy and almost always running in front and side of the Palanquin. After some time as she was holding the side of the Palanquin I requested her that we are all are carrying Srila Prabhupa and she should not exert herself. Her reply stumped me, she said `I just want to be close to my spiritual master'. After sometim
