Brahma-Samhita

“I worship Govinda, the primeval Lord, who resides in His own realm, Goloka, with Radha, who resembles His own spiritual figure and who embodies the ecstatic potency [hladini]. Their companions are Her who embody extensions of Her bodily form and who are imbued and permeated with ever-blissful spiritual rasa.” B.S. 5.37

Life of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was born in Mayarpur in the town of Nadia, just after sunset on the evening of the 23rd Falgun, 1407 Advent of Sakabda answering to the 18th Februrary, 1486 of the Christian era. The moon was eclipsed at the time of His birth and people of Nadia were then engaged, as usual on such occasions, in bathing in the Bhagirathi with loud cheers of Haribol. His father Jagannath Misra was a poor Brahmin of the Vedic order, and His mother Sachi Devi was a model good woman, both descen

The Malhotras are the owners of Weikfield Products food company, which was established twenty years ago. They have a very large modern house, Malhotra Bhavan, situated on several acres of well kept land at 116 Koregaon Park, which, unusual for India, even has a moderately sized swimming pool. At the house Srila Prabhupada was introduced to the wives of all three brothers, and some of their children.

As I busied myself retrieving Srila Prabhupada’s silver plate and bowls for breakfast from our bag

Mahaprabhu has taught in Siksastaka (Cc. adi 17.31):

This is the most important teaching in Siksastaka.

Why does a Krishna-bhakta dutifully performs,  *Nama-Japam*  ( Recitation of Krishna's names) every day?

In this materialistic  age Kali-yugam , *Nama-Japam* is the prescribed ritual for Bhagavan-realization .  It is necessary to bath daily to remove the accumulated dirt from our body . Similarly, *Nama-Japam* cleanses the accumulated dirt in our heart .

Sri Krishna's names are non-different from Him The very utterance

The Supreme Form

During his travels in South India, Mahaprabhu had some discussion with the tattva-vadisin Udupi. Although he didn't agree with the tattva-vadis,

Mahaprabhu accepted the Madhva sampradaya, which is known as the tattva-vadi sampradaya.

Why did he accept it?

sabe, eka guna dekhi tomara sampradaye

Garuda Meets Hanuman

In Dwarka, Krishna once sent for Garuda and told him, "Go and call Hanuman." So Garuda went to Hanuman and told him, "Lord Krishna is calling you to Dwarka." Hanuman was busy chanting rama-nama, "Rama, Rama, Rama, Rama." He didn't pay any attention to Garuda. Garuda repeated himself two or three times, "I have come from Dwarka. Lord Krishna has sent me. He is calling you

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Today, I read a newspaper clipping from Mauritius.  Apparently the writer had travelled in the same train as Srila Prabhupada to Rishikesh.  His report was based on Srila Prabhupada's lectures delivered in Rishikesh and was very accurate and favourable.  Later in the day, Srila Prabhupada had me read it once again to him.

Abhirama's wife purchased new sunglasses for Prabhupada.  Immediately Prabhupada recognized the brand

Prabhupada asked about our future itinerary, as though he was beginning to think of moving again.

When Jayatirtha Prabhu was about to leave, Srila Prabhupada cried, thanking him for improving everything here so much since the time  mismanaged so many things.

Srila Prabhupada's emotions are much more noticeable recently.  Whereas before, he would always check his sentiments, now he no longer does so completely, perhaps bec

Today being Janmastami, I was thinking of taking Srila Prabhupada to visit Sri Sri Radha-Londonisvara.  We rented a Rolls Royce, and in procession with the German sankirtana vans, we pilgrimaged to Bury Place.  There, for half an hour, His Divine Grace had darsana of Their Lordships who, Srila Prabhupada said, were topmost of all our Deities.

The journey so exhausted Prabhupada that on returning, he slept untilmidnight.

I am an eternal spirit soul, a servant of Krishna.  There is noprotector or maintainer for me other than Krishna.  I am themost fallen and poor. If I spend my life enjoying the fruits of my previous karma but at the same time hear and chant the holy names of Krishna, I will certainly attain the Lord’s mercy.  If I remain with this conviction, then I can attain love of Krishna.
