The focus for this article is to try and brush aside these biases and objectively study the relevance of this very old but thoroughly timely system of knowledge in th

mrdanga playing, one or two styles is best. To introduce more styles is not
good. It will become an encumbrance. If we introduce so much emphasis on
style of kirtana, then simply imitation will go on.
Devotional emotion is the main thing. If we give stress to
instrument and style then attention will be diverted to the style. That will
be spiritual loss."

you nourish some idea of becoming famous by playing some music, that will be
a source of frustration — the end.
So it is better if you play your music for Krishna by having very
ecstatic kirtanas in your center in Vancouver, and in this way, as I have
introduced it, all of the devotees and also the general public as well will

These people are professional singers.
Krishna Kirtana is not for earning a livelihood. Krishna Kirtana is
not meant for entertaining the public for demonstration of arts. It is
dynamic service to the Lord.
We do not therefore mind so much about the artistic presentation of
Krishna Kirtana but we want to see how much a devotee is satisfying the

e-mails were compiled by H.H. Indradyumna Swami in his harinama sankirtana
handbook entitled "Harinama Eva Kevalam".
He called this chapter “We Are Not Professional Musicians”. It
emphasises the importance of the propper mood of devotion & service while
out on harinama, and not the concentration on the musical performance.
The book was never published though. :(

Brother Hammer served as the chairman. The other members of the tool belt informed him that he must leave, because he was too noisy. But brother Hammer said, "If I have to leave this carpenter's shop, then

Truly, Faith is the life-giving tree of Bliss,
It stems from the root of devotion,
It is nourished by the determination of the devotee,
It flowers by the Grace of the Guru,
It fructifies with the Blessings of the Lord,
And then it reaches out to the hearts of others,
To seed, and take root, once again…
Thank you Devotees for the seeds you have sown,
For Faith is the offspring of Faith, in oneself and in others… :)

By far the spiritual medical tour has been Mayapur Worldwide’s best tour till date. On my way back I kept asking Krsna why this tour was so extra special compared to any other we had conducted in the past.
The answers came in many ways. We were serving the hands that heal. These were HIS servants. And HIS servants are very dear to him. Every medical staff in the group came from different faiths but their faith lie in God.
These doctors, nurses, pharmacist were serving at various NHS hospitals in

One morning in Vrindavana, I was sitting in my house chanting my rounds when my disciple Narottam Das Thakur Das came to see me. He offered his respectful obeisances and then spoke. "Guru Maharaja," he said, "it's been a long time since I have visited Govardhana Hill. If you don't have any service for me today, I would like your blessings to go on Govardhana parikrama." "You're free to go," I said. "Just be back in t

A: But do we have to see things in order to believe in them? Did anyone see atoms or subatomic particles, etc.? Our senses are very limited and unreliable. To claim that something does not exist simply because I have not seen it is a childish logic. I have not seen you - therefore you don't exist? I
