1 श्रील शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने कहा: हे राजा परीक्षित! देवताओं तथा ब्रह्माजी द्वारा इस प्रकार स्तुतियों से पूजित भगवान हरि उन सबके समक्ष प्रकट हो गये। उनका शारीरिक तेज एकसाथ हजारों सूर्य के उदय होने के समान था।
2 भगवान के तेज से सारे देवताओं की दृष्टि चौंधिया गई। वे न तो आकाश, दिशाएँ, पृथ्वी को देख सके, न ही अपने आपको देख सके। अपने समक्ष उपस्थित भगवान को देखना तो दूर रहा।

अध्याय चार – गजेन्द्र का वैकुण्ठ गमन (8.4)
1 श्रील शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने कहा: जब भगवान ने गजेन्द्र का उद्धार कर दिया तो सारे ऋषियों, गन्धर्वों तथा ब्रह्मा, शिव इत्यादि देवताओं ने भगवान की प्रशंसा की और भगवान तथा गजेन्द्र दोनों के ऊपर पुष्पवर्षा की।
2 स्वर्गलोक में दुन्दुभियाँ बजने लगीं, गन्धर्वलोक के वासी नाचने और गाने लगे तथा महान ऋषियों, चारणलोक एवं सिद्धलोक के निवासियों ने भगवान पुरुषोत्तम की स्तुतियाँ कीं।
3-4 गन्धर्वों में श्रेष्ठ राजा हूहू, देवल मुनि द्वारा शापित होने के बाद घड़ियाल बन गया था।
