“Then we come to Bhāgavata, then we come to Caitanya-caritāmṛta, in this way. So from next year, unless one passes bhakti-śāstrī, he cannot be second initiated.”

The Study and Teach program is yet another initiative undertaken by the Ministry of Education under the overall Books Are The Basis project, with a two-fold purpose. The first is to provide our leaders and active preachers an opportunity to receive the Bhakti Sastri and Bhakti Vaibhav degrees without taking months long sabbatical from their active services. The second is to increase the daily reading of Srila Prabhupada books amongst the temples and congregations where such leaders study and teach.
As the name suggests, we accomplish these goals by enabling temple management and congregational preachers to simultaneously study for and teach the sastric courses they are pursuing certification in. We appreciate the pressing service schedules our leaders and managers have, which would hardly allow them the opportunity to travel to India or another location for long durations to study. This is why we have designed the Study and Teach program for the leaders. The details of the program, application form and resources for you to conduct this program are available at https://iskconeducation.org/study-and-teach/ Alternatively, you can contact office@iskconeducation.org for any clarification and support.
In the first phase of the Study and Teach program we will enrol 24 to 32 devotees, each in turn should teach at least 8 devotees. The last date for receiving applications is 15 December 2021
We hope that GBC members, Zonal Supervisors, Temple presidents, Congregation Leaders, Brahmacharis and several other devotees involved in ISKCON management will take advantage of this novel program, and inspire many devotees in their communities to study and teach.
Your servant,
Tapana Miśra Dāsa
Co-Minister for Education
