In the Seventh Chapter of Bhagavad-gita Sri Krsna gives additional ways in which He can be perceived in every step of life :

Material compassion, lamentation and tears are all signs of ignorance of the real self. Compassion for the eternal soul is self-realization. The word "Madhusudana" is significant in this verse. Lord Krishna killed the demon Madhu, and now Arjuna wanted Krishna to kill the demon of misunderstanding that had overtaken him in the discharge

A Worthy Son

(Compiled from notes on lectures of H. H. Mahavishnu Goswami)

When our spiritual master, H.H.Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaja was in Abu Dhabi in December 2007 he made all of us recite the following points:

1. I will obey my parents.
2. I will never trouble them in anyway.
3. I will always serve them to the best of my ability.
4. I am really grateful to them for all they are doing for me.
5. I will never be arrogant with them.

Once two villagers were sitting under a tree and watching the sunset. They were very close friends. After sitting quietly for some time, one asked the other, "What are you thinking?"

"I am planning to buy five acres of land, a garden." The other friend immediately said, "Don't buy the garden!"

The first one was surprised. He asked "why"? The second one replied, "I am planning to buy a buffalo. Then, my buffalo will enter

Once upon a time the rabbits were having a serious meeting. One rabbit said, "What kind of life is this! All the animals in the jungle are more powerful than us."

The other rabbit replied "How long can we stay like this? Even a leaf falls from the tree, we get scared. It is better to die than to always live in fear."

"This is true. We are living a life full of fear and anxieties. Better we commit sucide."

"You are correct. H

Srila Prabhupada writes in SRI CAITANYA CARITAMRUTA:

“Radha and Krsna are one, and when Krsna desires to enjoy pleasure, He manifests Himself as Radharani. The spiritual exchange of love between Radha and Krsna is the actual display of the internal pleasure
potency of Krsna. Although we speak of "when" Krsna desires, just when He did desire we cannot say.

We only speak in this way because in conditional life we take it th

Once Upon A Time….

A doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery. He answered the call asap, changed his clothes & went directly to the surgery block. He found the boy’s father pacing in the hall waiting for the doctor. On seeing him, the dad yelled:
“Why did U take all this time to come? Don’t U know that my son’s life is in danger? Don’t U have any sense of responsibility?”

In Kṛṣṇa all of these tendencies and manifestations exist in pure consciousness, in spirit. One who knows this, in full knowledge, becomes a pure devotee of Kṛṣṇa.

While in Melbourne, Prabhupada had heard news that some of Tusta Krsna Swami's men had spread the rumour that Prabhupada would visit their farm in Auckland, but not the ISKCON temple. This was proof, they said, that they were correct in the long running dispute. On hearing this, Prabhupada had immediately cancelled his plans to visit Tusta Krsna's farm, adding that anyone who wanted to see him in Auckland could come to the temple.

Prabhupada was well

The main interviewer thought that Prabhupada's mention of his guru maharaja was in reference to the infamous Mayavadi boy-guru. "What is your opinion of the Guru Maharaji?" Prabhupada raised his eyebrows. "Not only Guru Maharaji, so many Maharaja. So this movement is authorised. Others, they are some imaginary sentiments. That's all. This Krsna consciousness movement is authorised movement -- Vedic culture. And they, in the name of Vedic culture, are talking some nonsense

After breakfast, reporters from The New Zealand Herald, The Auckland Star and the local TV station came for an interview with Srila Prabhupada. While they were setting up their lights, cameras and microphones, Prabhupada read through the mail.

A Herald reporter started the proceedings by asking some standard questions: Had Srila Prabhupada been to New Zealand before? How many disciples did he have? How many centres were there? Prabhupada obligingly replied to them all.

Prabhupada gave a short lecture. At the end, he looked around the room and smiled at the devotees, indicating the altar with his eyes. "This is a very nice altar. Tomorrow, we shall install the Deities." The devotees chanted: "Jaya! Haribol!" Rama dasa ran out of the room to break the news to his wife.

Seven devotees sat down around the sacrificial fireplace. Prabhupada took his seat. Guru Krpa Swami had already given the pre-initiation lecture while the morning walk had been i
