Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

The middle Deity is Tota Gopinatha, with black Radharani (on the left of Gopinatha) and a black Lalita (to the right of the Lord).

When Radharani is in intense separation of Krsna she takes the complexion of Krsna and when Krsna is in intense separation of  Radharani the He takes the complexion of Radharani.

Thought Of The Day

So we are debted to God. So just like, if you don't pay taxes to the government, the government does not become poor, but your supply will be stopped. You will suffer. Similarly, if you don't accept there is supreme government, the supreme governor... The governor is quite sufficient. God is completely munificent or rich. He will not suffer, but you will suffer. Therefore it is said, te sadhu krta-sarvarthah. Just like if you remain cleansed, paying all your taxes, then you are very honest citiz

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Srila Jiva Gosvami explains the various types of bhakti. We shall briefly touch on the main three. The first is aropsiddha bhakti, perfection attained by offering the fruit of one’s karma in devotional service. When works are offered to the Lord, devotion is attributed to them, even though the activity itself is not devotional. This is called attributed devotion.

Aropsiddha is further divided into two types offering of wo

God helps those who help themselves

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Krishna says that He provides for His devotees by giving them what they lack and preserving what they have. People are very fond of saying that God helps those who help themselves, but they do not understand that helping yourself means putting yourself under Krishna's protection. If one thinks, "Oh, I can help myself. I can protect myself," one is thinking foolishly. As long as my finger is attached to my body, it is use

Adi Shankara's experience with the divine

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

The commentaries on Vishnu Sahasranamam was first written by Adi Sankara.  There is an interesting story behind it.

Sankara actually wanted to write commentaries on Lalita Sahasranamam.  He asked one of his disciples to bring palm-leaf manuscripts of Lalita Sahasranamam.  The disciple went to the room where it was kept and returned with the manuscript.

When Sankara opened, he found that it was Vishnu Sahasranamam.  He ag

"Lizards and insects emerging out of midday meals will now be a thing of the past for 65,000 children studying in government schools in and around Jamshedpur. Come April 9 and their meals will roll out from delivery vans packed in shining steel utensils containing 'dal, bhat and subzi' cooked in huge semi-automatic steam cookers at a centralized kitchen." -

Bhakthi

We can have our affections towards other people in this material world.Like we will have our love towards our father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, etc. But Bhakthi(Devotion) is the affection or Love which we have in Lord.He may be Allah; He may be Vishnu; He may be Shiva; He may be Jesus Christ. But the destination we reach the Lord is the one i.e:The eternal abode of the Lord.We can have a friendly relationship with him.Or we can maintain a respectful respect with him.But we should have a eternal

Thought Of The Day

So this is possible. If you become devotee of Krsna, then you can live with Krsna, even in this life. Even in this life. Because Krsna is omnipotent, if you are really devotee of Krsna, He will talk with you, He will dance with you, He will eat with you, everything.

Thought Of The Day

So unnecessarily, so-called education will not help. Let them become Krsna conscious. That is the duty of the government. Just like we are not speaking on the slogan, "In God We Trust." Is that that slogan, "In God We Trust"? So this is a slogan, but it is the duty of the government, that "We are using this slogan, but actually what we are doing about people's education that they may know what is God and then trust?" But everyone is godless. And still, as a matter of fashion, we are writing, "In

If You Want to Taste the Bliss

HARE KRISHNA

If you want to taste the bliss, you must dovetail your consciousness with the supreme person, who is the source of everything. It is absolutely impossible that you will ever find permanent happiness if you are not connected with Him. So why waste time looking for happiness in this material world through so many millions of varieties of avenues, which are nothing but dead end streets because they do not connect to Krishna? The smart thing to do is to immediately come to the plane of t

Devotees Not Reading Prabhupada's Books

HARE KRISHNA

Lord Caitanya has taught us:
jīvera 'svarūpa' haya—kṛṣṇera 'nitya-dāsa' kṛṣṇera 'taṭasthā-śakti' 'bhedābheda-prakāśa
"It is the living entity's constitutional position to be an eternal servant of Krishna because he is the tatastha-shakti (marginal energy) of Krishna and a manifestation simultaneously one and different from the Lord." --Sri Caitanya Caritamrita, Madhya 20.108
So it is not that we fell from the tatastha shakti. We ARE tatastha shakti or marginal energy. This is part of
