Law of Karma and Reincarnation are the two basic elements of our Vedic Religion.According to a Person's deeds in his/her previous birth,  the Person is reborn. Like a programmed machine, the Person does the actions that are planned for in this life . All the joys and sorrows in this life are according to the precise "Script". *Jivathma* is the doer and *Paramathma* ( Supersoul or Manasakshi) is the witness. If Jivathma i

"This attraction for Krsna consciousness in association with pure devotees is the sign of great fortune. It is confirmed by Lord Caitanya that the only..., only the fortunate persons, by mercy of both the bona fide spiritual master and Krsna, will get the seed of devotional service. In this connection, Lord Krsna says in the Srimad-Bhagavatam, Eleventh Canto, Twentieth Chapter, verse 8: 'My dear Uddhava, only by exceptional fortune does someone become attached, attracted to Me, Krsna. And even i

Once a boy went to shop with his mother. The shop keeper looked at the small cute child and showed him a bottle with sweets and said 'Dear Child.. u can take the sweets... but the child did not take.

The shop keeper was surprised such a small child he is and why is he not taking the sweets from the bottle. Again he said take the sweets. Now his mother also heard that and said. ''beta take the sweets..'' yet he did not ta

Make plans to get out of the material world. The material world is going to get more and more terrible with each passing day. This is not something that is spiritual propaganda. If you follow what the materialists talk, if you follow what the scientists these days are talking, they are all talking about global warming; they are talking about the effects of global warming on the society and the predictions are that the si

There is no possibility of creation without the five aspects listed below:

(1) Feeling

(2) Willing

(3) Thinking

(4) knowing

(5) Acting

Dull matter ( Jada padartha) by itself cannot create anything at all. Creation needs absolute control and guidance from the supreme source. Matter can only be destroyed by itself, with the passage or flow of time ( generally known as forward arrow of time in Thermodynamics). For instance, a building will be destroyed , but can never create another building on its own a

Anywhere there are intelligent class of men, God conscious men, they are called brahmanas. Anywhere who are prepared for the right cause, administrator, ksatriyas. Anywhere who are interested in business, trade, agriculture, they are called vaisyas. And anywhere who are simply satisfied by serving others, he's called sudra. So our principle is not to proselytize from Christian to Hindu or Muhammadan to Hindu. We are teaching simply how to revive his own constitutional position to become servant

Surrender to Krishna is a beautiful experience and the most wonderful concept in all of creation. It means to genuinely offer our love to Him. Those who are unwilling to surrender to Krishna with love have to surrender to Him at the time of death. Old age, disease and death are the weapons by which powerful time strangulates us. All great emperors of the world — Alexander, Napolean, Hitler, Aurangzeb — have been swept away into oblivion by the force of time. To the degree we consider ourselves t

"Work is worship. Manava-seva is Madhava-seva. God is everywhere and so I don't have to visit temples".

Above are some of the common thoughts that are destructive . Despite being blessed with the birth as Human, such people fail to utilize this birth . We all are under the influence of the ego-boosting  *Maya* ( illusion) . Only divine grace help us to overcome *Maya*.

Vedic scriptures tell us that God resides everywhere .

"This holy place, Naimisaranya, is still existing in India, and in ancient times it was especially used for the meetings of great sages and saintly persons with the aim of understanding spiritual life and self-realization. When Lord Balarama visited that place there was a great sacrifice being performed by a great assembly of transcendentalists. Such meetings were planned to last thousands of years. When Lord Balarama ar

In almost every Vaishnava home a lamp is lit daily before the altar of the Lord. In some houses it is lit at dawn, in some, twice a day at dawn and dusk and in a few it is maintained continuously (akhanda deepa). All auspicious functions commence with the lighting of the lamp, which is often maintained right through the occasion.
Light symbolizes knowledge, and darkness, ignorance. The Lord is the "Knowledge Principle" (

Lessons from a Crane..…

The crane is standing on one leg and looking down into the stream at all the little fish that swim around him. He just waits patiently and lets them pass, absorbed and concentrated in his focus. As soon as the big fish comes, he immediately eats the big fish. He doesn’t concern himself with the little fish.

I am not promoting eating fish, but the lesson behind this is that we should not be concerned

Advanced devotee never disobey or disrespect another devotee. Disrespect to another devotee is a great offense. Vaisnava aparadha. Vaisnava aparadha is very serious offense. Therefore we teach to address amongst the devotees, "Prabhu", "Prabhu", "Such and such Prabhu." This should not be simply spoken by the lips. It should be realized. Everyone should think other devotee as his prabhu, master. Not he should try to become master.

Some days I really feel sad at my weak self control as I fall again and again from whatever baby steps I take in my sadhna Bhakti. Outside I may take bath twice a day but inside I am full of worst what material nature has to offer. And I do feel very sad after failing to control my mind. But what good is that atonement.

in SB 6.1.9 Pariksit Maharaja says: One may know that sinful activity is injurious for him because he actually sees that a criminal is punished by the government and rebuked by pe
