Their distances per Srimad Bhagavatam 5th Canto, is explained here. I shall be using the symbol / for division and the symbol x for multiplication.

In our previous calculations we have used the 0 degree celestial or planetary orbit around Earth's equator for our equations. Now we must use Venus's lowest orbit to derive the distance to Mars.

On April 27, 1976, Srila Prabhupada wrote Bhakti Svarupa Damodara Maharaja, "So now all you must carefully study the details of the Fifth Canto and make a working model of the universe. Just like the two sons of Kuvera offered prayers saying that henceforth we may use our mind and senses always in service to the Lord, that should be the mentality a devotee should have - I may be in ignorance now; I may have performed so many sinful activities but now that I have come to Krsna consciousness, I should use my mind and senses constantly in service of the Lord.

History of the Indian Sari

2514925894?profile=original

The Indian sari, or saree, is as ancient and wondrous as the Indus Valley Civilization from which it originated. Sari is derived from the Sanskrit word, sati, meaning cloth. This strip of unstitched cloth is the longest standing fashion statement in history, worn by Indian women since at least 2800 BCE. The sari is unparalleled in its originality and timelessness, making it a true archaeological garment. It is uniquely feminine and graceful, and holds the bountiful secrets and mysteries of Anci

The quintessential eastern fashion statement, the sari seems to be the most misunderstood garment, in the history of apparels. A charming folktale goes "The Sari, it is said, was born on the loom of a fanciful weaver. He dreamed about a woman. The shimmer of her tears. The dra

The Power of Congregational Preaching

2514925907?profile=original

By His Holiness Candramauli Swami

His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada instructed his followers and disciples to use our intelligence to reach out to people from different aspects of life and create ways for them to become involved with devotional service. Our society has evolved over the years, in that we have become less of a temple based society and more of a congregation based society. The majority of persons who take part in Krishna consciousness are more or less grihasthas.
