Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

When I was walking today, on the Island Mali Losinj, I felt my mind
reach out over the blue sea to an island shimmering in the distance.
When my mind returned, it brought a story with it, a story of
spiritual instruction. Strange are the ways of inspiration.

Here is the story:

When Mohan returned from his journey to Jagannatha Puri, he was a
changed man. Those who had never met him were impressed with his
character, but those

"No one will disagree to partake in a function where good singing, dancing and refreshment are administered. Everyone will attend such a function, and everyone is sure to feel individually the transcendental presence of the Lord. This alone will help the attendant associate with the Lord and thereby purify himself in spiritual realization. The only condition for successfully executing such spiritual activities is that t

My Dear Himavati,

Faith & Science..……….. Nectarean Mellows

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

The scientific approach is that I will only accept if there is tangible proof, I will believe it if you can show me. If you cannot show me God, if you cannot put Him before me to see, to touch, to smell, to taste, to experience directly with my senses, how do you expect me to believe it and remain scientific? This is a great fallacy because factually everything in your life that you believe is true, you have no means to

Serve Vaisnavas

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

We have to learn to look at the good qualities in others. We should try to encourage each other. We have to really understand that we are dasas and not prabhus, that we are dasas of each other. The problem is that no one wants to be a dasa in Kali-yuga. Everyone wants to be the boss, prabhu. In American English there is saying, too many chiefs and no Indians. That is the problem. We have to endeavor to become servant. T

Preaching Network

By His Grace Vignanashna Govinda Dasa

Our yatra is purely a congregational preaching center. We have the opportunity to be a part of it and directly engage in the preaching activities. It really gives us immense pleasure and satisfaction to be a part of the team. It is really amazing to see the neophytes transforming wonderfully into nice devotees of the Lord, making their house a nice temple of the Lord and practicing Krishna consciousness. They also take responsibilities to preach by making the

In 2004, we had half a dozen book distributors participate in a marathon. Then, in 2005, we had 40 book distributors participate and 35 were householders. Of course they are not doing huge book distribution, but it all adds up. They are going out on weekends. One of the devotees came to me before I left for India and told me about his method for distributing books. Every morning he gets on the tram and sits down beside someone and tries to give them a book. He does the

Akincana Krishnadas Babaji Maharaja, Prabhu's intimate Godbrother and friend, chanted Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare/Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare. He chanted continuously from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM in a most sweet and deep manner. Swamiji requested that only Krishna-nama be sung, the kirtana of the Hare Krishna maha-mantra. Prabhupada: Read. Hare Krsna. Yes, Second Chapter

Devotee: Start at verse 8. "I can find no means to drive away this grief which is drying up my senses. Sanjaya said: Having spoken thus, Arjuna, chastiser of the enemy told Krsna, Govinda, ‘I shall not fight,' and fell silent [Bg. 2.9]. "You Have To Approach An Acarya"

73/10/05 Bombay, Bhagavad-gita 13.8-12

Prabhupada: So we have been discussing for the last few days about the process of knowledge. So we have discussed already amanitvam, humbleness. Amanitvam adambhitvam ahimsa. Ahimsa, non-violence. So ahimsa ksantih, tolerance, arjavam, simplicity. These things we have already discussed.

Now another important thing is acaryopasanam. If you want to make progress, then you have to approach acarya. Just like if you want to be

I have a poem and a message to share with you. The poem is entitled the Nectar of the Lord's Names and following that are my thoughts connected with Krishna consciousness.
Now here is the poem:

You will win all life's battles if you keep the Lord's Names as your constant companion;
Actually, The Lord and His Names are identical, for we see, in the Gita, that Arjuna with Krishna as his charioteer and companion won even when faced with many an obst
