Every year leaders from around the country attend the ISKCON Indonesia AGM. This time it was held at Radha Gopinatha temple in the Baha area of Bali. Last year it was at Radha Rasesvara temple.

Around 50 or 60 devotees came, as well as the two GBCs, Kavicandra Maharaja and myself. Many important topics were discussed, especially about book distribution, deity worship, finances, harinama, property assets etc.

It was great to have everyone’s association and the meeting started and ended with kirt

A Vaishnava does not want to criticize anyone. For example, in Vrindavan, there was one very, very exalted Vaishnava.

One day, there was a mahotsava, a festival. Many people were invited. This person noticed that one Vaishnava was not there, so he questioned what happened to him.

Somebody said that he has done this and that, so we did not invite him. This very senior Vaishnava got up and started to walk to the door. When asked why he was leaving, he said, “For such a small little fault you have

Krishna is self-satisfied and does not need anything, but out of His mercy He will accept our offerings of love and devotion.

Krishna’s supreme opulence surpasses all description and comparison. Millions of goddesses of fortune serve Him in the spiritual realm. He is the supreme controller, the ultimate refuge, and the proprietor of everything. Yet, because of His love for His devotees, the all-powerful Lord accepts their loving offerings.

Krishna consciousness helps us recognize and reestablis

He would personally reply to every letter, and I am fortunate to still have a few letters that he wrote to me nearly twenty four years ago. He had once graciously visited our home, and I was blessed to receive his special blessings.
Looking back at those letters today, the sentiment behind his words feels almost otherworldly. There was a depth, warmth and spiritual affection in them that is difficult to describe in ordinary words. They remain deeply precious to me not merely as letters, but as

31220979497?profile=RESIZE_584xIn an effort to preserve spiritual decorum and Sanatan traditions, the ISKCON Temple in Vrindavan (Mathura, Uttar Pradesh) has introduced a strict new dress code alongside a ban on photography, selfies, and video recording inside temple premises. The guidelines prohibit immodest attire—including shorts and sleeveless clothing—in favor of traditional, modest dress for visiting devotees.

The initiative has drawn widespread support across religious communities. Local saints and religious figures ha

We’re All in Maya by Nagaraja Dasa

From Back to Godhead

In the Bhagavad-gita (7.14) Lord Krishna refers to maya, the deluding material energy, as mama maya: “My maya.” We Vaishnavas accept His word on this, with profound philosophical implications.

The chief philosophical opponents of Vaishnavas are the Mayavadis, or impersonalists, who posit ultimate reality as one homogeneous impersonal energy, with no second thing: All the unique entities we perceive, whether things or living beings, are merely mirages. Variety and individual

Living Heroes By Rukmini Devi Dasi

“Shoot him,” said the man with the crowbar. Kshudhi felt the cold metal against his skull and chanted Hare Krishna like never before. His nimble nineteenyear old body was tucked under the bed. The other four men with guns hesitated. They attacked the house knowing that a Johannesburg vegetable merchant had kept cash there, but were they ready to kill for it?

Less than two years before, Kshudhi had purchased a copy of Teachings of Lord Chaitanya from a book store in Los Angeles. The book introdu

Just as Gaṅgā is the greatest of all rivers, Śrīmad Bhāgavata Purāṇa is greatest among all Purāṇas. When we worship Mother Gaṅgā the reservoir of holy water, we take palm full water from the river and with devotion we put it back into the river. Similarly this humble attempt of writing on the topic of Bhāgavata Purāṇa is done even though this Purāṇa is the reservoir of everything. It is like taking any paraphernalia for worshiping the supreme Lord which originates and bel

31215991284?profile=RESIZE_584xIt was a fine sight for the eyes of thousands of conditioned souls. The parade spanned one mile in length and was led by a large assembly of Brahmans (initiated priests). Vaisesika Dasa led the priests in singing and chanting Vedic hymns from the Brahma-Samhita along with many various prayers. Following that group was a twelve member marching band joyfully and skillfully playing Hare Krishna mantra melodies with horns and percussion instruments.

Next in the procession came groups of dancing ladi

We are very grateful to share that Guru Maharaj has been making encouraging progress since his stroke a week ago and is now continuing his recovery outside the hospital. He is slowly gaining strength and energy, and we are seeing gradual improvement.

While Maharaj is able to speak and communicate, the stroke affected some of the brain functions that help us take in what we hear, understand and organize information, connect thoughts and meanings, and formulate an appropriate resp

31215988062?profile=RESIZE_584xOver one weekend, the ISKCON London Sankirtan team had the opportunity to attend the World Yoga Festival, bringing Srila Prabhupada’s books to a large gathering of people interested in yoga, meditation, spirituality and personal development.

For us, it was a wonderful reminder of how much potential there is for book distribution outside traditional religious settings. Over the course of the weekend, more than 20 Srimad Bhagavatam sets were distributed, along with a large number of Bhagavad-gitas

A Party And Parting by Bhaktimarga Swami

31215987868?profile=RESIZE_400xWe are party animals. I’m referring to the devotees who have just enjoyed a two-day festivity. To begin with Saturday brought colours to the lives of the Vancouver area devotees. Literally the colour throws went on at the Burnaby property. It drew new people, according to Vallabha Hari, the master of ceremony for the event.

I personally avoid when the colour powder is about set to go in the air, I happen to like my saffron colour and really don’t care of the tie-dye look. It just doesn’t work

I have been looking for this photo for years. Haripuja just found it.

This photo was taken on August 20, 1991, in Moscow, on the edge of Red Square and across from the Central Post and Telegraph Office. It was almost 35 years ago to the day.

Haripuja and I had traveled from Sweden to Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) for the first Jagannatha Rathayatra in Leningrad, the cultural capital of the then Soviet Union. After a very ecstatic festival, we took a very comfor

Hare Krishna,

My name is Dvijamani Gaura dasa. I am a brahmachari in ISKCON, currently based in Lithuania.

For the past several years, I have felt a growing desire to help expand Krishna consciousness among Arabic- and Farsi-speaking people living throughout Europe. Millions of people from these language communities now live across the continent, yet very few devotees are engaged in regular outreach specifically for them.

The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT) has made wonderful progress in printing
