(Bhakti Madhurya Govinda Swami was initiated by His Divine Grace Srila A.C. He started one of ISKCON’s first university preaching programs at the University of San Francisco, California, later continuing university preaching at his former university, the University of California, Berkeley. He opened the Berkeley, California temple in 1969.)

Devotees observed Srila Prabhupada's tirobhava tithi maha-mahotsava with his internal presence with great pomp and affection. There was abhishek of Srila Prabhupada by HG Balabhadra das,HG Rasrasik Das,HG Rantidev das and other devotees.
The melodious Hare Krishna maha-mantra was recited and later Krishna Prasadam was distributed.

Lecture on Qualification for knowing Krishna by HH Romapada Swami in 2013 at Guyana
(Romapada Swami‘s first encounter with Krishna consciousness came in Buffalo, in the shape of a lecture at the State University of New York in 1969. The lecturer was His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. The following year, Romapada Swami joined the movement in Boston and was initiated in 1971. Despite being admitted as a pre-med student, he decided to follow his spiritual path 100% and never looked back. He took sannyasa in 1983 and became an initiating spiritual master in 1985. In 1992 he began serving as a member of the GBC)
