When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?
2002/2003, some hippy friends :) And then I read a lot and associated with devotees. I was very fortunate to get service at the Amsterdam temple, service makes you advance a million (?) times faster :) I advice everybody do some service even if you are not chanting and not following (any) regulative principles, anybody can do some service... Cleaning/serving prasadam, do groceries etc...
Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.
Amsterdam, Mukthi Datri dd, the pujari for 20 years in the temple of Amsterdam, without her mercy I would be lost here.
Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.
Im a spirit soul trapped in the material world (in Amsterdam, Holland) trying to get back, and take as many souls/friends as possible back with me. I don't live in the temple but I come there often. My service in the temple is mostly flower arrangement for the altar and making garlands for His loving Grace Srila Prabupada and the Deities Karuna Nitai and Gaura Chandra, some cleaning of parephenalia every now and then and some other work that needs to be done sometimes.. Further on I try to get friends and family to the temple and preach a bit, I love to see people take their first bite of prasadam hehehe :) Gotcha !!! lol 2014 edit; I stopped my service for years but when I am in the temple I try to find any service cleaning pots or flowers mostly. I dont make friends with devotees easily, I wish I did because last time I fell down was for a big part because I felt so lonely as a devotee not having close association with anyone except for one person in the temple. 2014 second edit: visited the temple again on the sunday feast, i was so happy to be back and got great association with devotees, they still knew who i was after so many years. I got invited to a houseprogram at a senior mataji's house next wednesday ! I felt so humbled and accepted back, thank you Radhe Krishna and your devotees !
What are your expectations from this community?
I hope this website will consume my spare time so much I wont look up maya websites. Finding answers to questions and getting mercy from all of you !
Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?
I love to cook, paint, arrange flowers and preaching.

This being the case it should be easy for us to give up illusory happiness and go for the real happiness. But the difficulty is that our senses have become so addicted to these illusory pleasures that it becomes practically unthinkable for us to give them up. Therefore we must take help from the higher authorities, such as the Vedic wisdom and the spiritual master, and with fixed intelligence cut through the hard knot of sensory attraction to engage our senses directly in the service of Krishna, who is known as Hrishikesha, the master of the senses. This will liberate us from the clutches of illusory pleasure and enable us to fully taste the sweetest happiness of our eternal relationship with Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
