Be assured that there is no more direct way to preach than to distribute Krishna conscious books. Whoever gets a book is benefited. If he reads the book he is benefited still more, or if he gives the books to someone else for reading, both he and the other person is benefited. Even if one does not read the book but simply holds it and sees it, he is benefited. If he simply gives small donation towards the work of Krishna consciousness he is benefited. Anyone who distributes these transcendental

If Srila Prabhupada visited you,
Maybe just for a day or two,
And came by unexpectedly,
I wonder what you'd do.
Oh, I know you'd give your nicest room,
To such an honored guest,
And all the food you'd offer,
Would be the very best.
And you would keep assuring him,
You're glad to have him there,
That serving him within your home,
Is a joy beyond compare.
But if you saw him coming,
Would you meet him at the door,
With arms outstretched to welcome,
This honored visitor?
Or would you have to change
As mention in Gour Govind Maharajs Book – Suddha Nama Bhajana
This Hare Krsna maha-mantra, consisting of sixteen-names and thirty-two syllables, is available in all the Vedas. The Kali-santarana Upanisad is one of the Vedas and such concocted slogans are not available in the Vedas. One should not follow these rascals and chant these concocted names. This is most important and one should understand that in every yuga there is a taraka-brahma-nama; and
In the Kali yuga the taraka-brahma-nama is:

Dec 01, AUSTRALIA (SUN) — In relation to the jiva's fall from Goloka, yes it is correct that no marginal living entities or nitya-siddha devotees fall from Goloka.
Our understanding of the jiva's origin comes from the teachings of Srila Prabhupada. It is well known that some of the teachings of others within the Gaudiya Math believe that some marginal living entities originate from the Impersonal Brahmajyoti - Srila Prabhupada rejects that idea as his conclusion is no jiv
“When freed from all material affection, the soul, giving up the gross and subtle material bodies, can attain the spiritual sky in his original spiritual body and engage in transcendental loving service to the Lord in Vaikunthaloka or Krishnaloka.” (Shrila Prabhupada, Chaitanya Charitamrita, Adi 2.91-92 Purport)
This is the definition of mukti, or liberation. We living entities are currently in a conditioned state, forced to suffer the miseries of material life, but this is actually not our orig

Ananda-cinmaya-rasa. Radha-Krishna, Govinda, is enjoying ananda-cinmaya-rasa, spiritual bliss. Cinmaya means spiritual, and rasa, bliss. That is eternal. We are also particles of that ananda-cinmaya-rasa. Anandamayo 'bhyasat (Vedanta-sutra 1.1.12). The Vedanta-sutra
The material world is simply a shadow of the spiritual world. So real life, real variety, real beauty, real knowledge, everything in reality is there in the spiritual world. This material world is only reflection. Just like if you create a clay doll, a very nice beautiful girl. But it is imitation. It is shadow of the real beautiful girl.
Prabhupada: Oh, Mr. Murti, I’m very glad to see you. Come here in front. How do you like this movement? Huh?

So one should be trained from the very beginning how to become gentle. From the very beginning if one is taught to become ungentle, uncontrolled of senses, how at the end he can become gentle? And if the people are not gentle, how you can expect peace and prosperity? Therefore we see in your country, every house: "Beware of dog. Don't come here." Because... What is that? Because they cannot trust anybody. Anybody.
So this is not advancement of civilization. If you want to know what is civilizatio

Q. What does the term self-realization mean? Does it refer to the understanding that we are not these bodies or the understanding that we are servants and our prime most duty is to serve Krishna?
Both! To understand that we are not these bodies is the first lesson in spiritual life. But who are we? Definition by negation is insufficient. The next lesson then is to understand that we are eternal spirit souls, but that knowledge is also incomplete without
Q. In the Srimad Bhagavatam 1.7.36, Krishna reminds Arjuna: "A person who knows the principles of religion does not kill an enemy who is careless, intoxicated, insane, asleep, afraid or devoid of his chariot", thereby highlighting Ashwatthama's heinous crime. But during the Mahabharata war Krishna Himself advises Arjuna to kill Karna who was devoid of his chariot and not resisting. I find this contradictory and difficult to understand. Could you please clarify this matter?

Q. Brhat-bhagavtamrta is BBT's latest publication. On p 414 there is indication that Karna and Duryodhana were 'partial incarnations of demons'. Could you supply the background to this statement? Was it due to the past life of Karna, or some other reason as to why he was destined to suffer so much, and do so many bad things? What wrong deeds had he done in his previous life or in his present life as Karna?

Prajalpa means talking all nonsense. Suppose politics. “What Mr. Nixon did
yesterday, or what did he say?” So what interest we have got in Mr. Nixon?
We shall not waste our time talking this politics, that politics, this
sociology, this cinema, this affair, no. We have nothing to do with that.
That is called prajalpa, unnecessary talking. Talking means decreasing your
duration of life. Talking. So why should you decrease your life
unnecessarily? Every

Human life is not meant for improving the standard of eating, sleeping, mating and defending. No. We should live very simply and spend our time and energy for spiritual advancement. That is the special quality of the human form of life. We have the ability to question the purpose of our existence and also to discover the answers.

In this way even daily Sadhana which consists of Mangala Arati, Srimad Bhagavatam, association with Devotees, cooking, taking care of Deities, Sunday programs…began to loose any meaning in my vision. I just felt the emergency of the Holy Names and wanted to chant Them only!
By the time in the eyes of Devotees I became different, more internal and sometimes for the sake of chanting did only short, superficial talks with them.
For the question: what happened?

If You and me only reality in this world, then why to loose our time for temporary things?
If I have to love You and to serve to You only, then why to divide my attention to others?
It was time when I read His Holiness Suhotra Swami Maharaja's book called "Shade and Reality". The book was very difficult to understand. I used to read one sentences 2-3 times in order to get the meaning. Then in between I read one thing which juncked in my heart. It said: "…the only reality is soul, the body
2 weeks ago there was an All India competition in which one had to answer the questionier containing 14 questions. After reading the questions I was happy as I had read the answers of all the questions in books of Srila Prabhupad. I was little bit confident of getting the first prize of Rs. 5000. I also decided that if I would win, I will give this money to ISKCON, Pune. So, I started writing answers to those questions. Later I searched about the organization which was conducting this competetion

This exciting report from the Riga, Latvia temple, shows how a bad public perception of ISKCON can be dramatically changed. It is a great example of how, by applying communications principles, our mission becomes recognised and respected by all levels of society. Latvia, one of the Baltic Republics, has a population of 2.5 million people. ISKCON has had a presence here since the early eighties. There are presently two temples locat |
