Kartik is the holiest month in the Hindu lunar calendar. It usually overlaps with the months October & November in the English calendar. Kartik Maas, also known as Damodar Maas, is described in the scriptures as the best among months for performing austerities.

Lord Shri Krishna says, “Of all plants, the sacred Tulasi is most dear to Me; of all months, Kartik is most dear, of all places of pilgrimage, My beloved Dwarka is most dear, and of all days,Ekadashi is most dear.” (Padma Purana, Uttara

Hare Krsna Prabhus,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Just as there are do's and don'ts for sadhana-bhakti, there are do's and don'ts for book distribution. I thought it might be good to give you an idea of them. I showed the following list to Vaisesika Prabhu and Bhrgupati Prabhu, and they approved it.

The Do's:

1. Always remember Krsna.

2. Distribute books on their merits.

3. Be friendly, tolerant, and compassionate.

4. Have good sadhana. Try to have all of you

Please! Stop! India! Enough!

They are eating and sleeping,
Will you also do the same?!
They are mating and defending,
Will you also do the same?!
They are crying, they are dieing,
Will you also do the same?!
They are cheating and lying,
Will you also do the same?!
They are heartless and cruel,
Want you also to be the same?!
They are dumb, they are dull,
Want you also to be the same?!
Under the Sun they are fried,
In the winter they froze.
Meat, fish, egg their daily food,
Money is their aim of livelihood.
They hurt each

While conducting the Mayapur Yatra we visited the HQers of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur's preaching mission, which included his main temple Sri Sri Gadharvika Giridhari. While circumabulating around the deities one sees on the 4 corners outside the mandir itself, along the parikrama marg, the murtis of the 4 vaisnava acaryas of the 4 bonafide disciplic successions (as decribed in Padma Purana.)

Below you will find Srila Bhaktivinode Thakura's decription of how Sri Caintanya Mahaprabhu a

In honor of Advaita Acarya's appearance day(from Bhakti-ratnakara, Fifth Wave, by Sri Narahari Cakravarti Thakura)Raghava Pandita continued: "A wise person once told me that Advaita Gosvami stayed in Mathura during His pilgrimage because of the beauty here. 108: The Significance of the Number

It is amazing how much Western science has taught us. Today, for example, kids in grammar school learn that the sun is 93 million miles from the earth and that the speed of light is 186,000 miles per second. Yoga may teach us about our Higher Self, but it can't supply this kind of information about physics or astronomy.

Or can it?

Professor Subhash Kak of Louisiana State University referred to the statement by Sayana, a fourteenth century Indian scholar. In his commentary on a hymn in the Rig Ved
