The transcendental Cupid

Posted on November 20, 2011Filed under BVKS SangaPhula-sara-jojaka kama. He’s the transcendental Cupid. Cupid, with his bowsand arrows, increases the lusty desires of the material world; similarly, inthe spiritual world He’s the Supreme Cupid. He was increasing the lustydesires of the gopis. They used to come there, and both of them — there wasno decrease; they were increasing their desire, and Krsna was supplyingthat. Without any material concept of life, they were simply dancing, that’sall.(Fr

when+the+kids+are+vegetarian.jpg

Once Devotee Mataji visited her non Devotee mother along with her child who also was serious Devotee of Krishna.

They all three were at home. Elders were cooking and exchanging with talks. By the time they realized that child was missed. No words. No child. No sound.

-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

Suddenly, screaming voice of a small kid was like a thunderbolt but inside the house.

Immediately, Grandmother and mother ran to the kitchen and found a child standing before the door open

Amazing True Story By H.H. Indradyummna Swami

I was remembering this evening one incident about how merciful Lord Caitanya is to even the most fallen, sinful rascals. As Prabhupada mentions, Jagai and Madhai?they were not comical characters; they were deeply sinful criminals. I remembered how once we were doing a Christmas marathon in Paris and we would send our devotees to  the train stations. The girls particularly would go on the trains and distribute books to the people just before the train left. As the train started to go, they woul

Thought Of The Day

Any sane man will think, “For so long I have
served my nasty desires, but still I am not happy.” We are suffering, yet still
we follow the dictation of lust and greed. In this way we create our karma.

To my Krishna

Neither I'm Meera nor I'm Radha,

Still I want my You, Krishna

Since I saw Your beauty

I got mad, I got away from all,

Even Love looks mad at me!!!

Nothing I want,

I want You to me mine!!

No worship I know,No chanting,

My heart is the altar where You stand,

'I love you'-my mantra!

For ages and aeons, I have swam against stream,

Now as the gush of Your beauty welcomes,

I must flow to Thee!!!

Take my heart, Kanha, take my soul,

This maidservant belongs to thee!!

Kiss me or torture,Dear!

I'm yours and yours, for

importance of utpanna ekadashi

Utpanna Ekadasi

Suta Goswami said, "O learned brahmanas, long ago Lord Sri Krishna, the
Supreme Personality of Godhead, explained the auspicious glories of Sri
Ekadasi and the rules and regulations governing each observance of fasting
on that holy day. O best of the brahmins, whosoever hears about the origins
and glories of these sacred fasts on the Ekadasi days goes directly to the
abode of Lord Vishnu after enjoying many different kinds of happiness in
this material world.

Urja Vrata/Dipa Dana/Kartik Vrata/24 Hrs Devotional Service

I have already instructed Karandhara to have a sky lamp and put candle in the evening to the Deity for one month.

Devotee (2): Srila Prabhupada, today is the beginning of urja-vrata. Can you describe what that is, urja-vrata, how it should be observed?

Prabhupada: What is this?

Gurudasa: They want to know urja-vrata.

Prabhupada: Uh.

Gurudasa: He wants you to describe what it is.

Bhaja Govindam by Adi Sankaracharya

Bhaja Govindam – from the immortal composition of Adi Sankaracharya, 10 verses of this hymn divinely rendedered.

It is said that Adi Shankaracharya, accompanied by his disciples, was walking along a street in Varanasi one day when he came across an aged scholar teaching the rules of Sanskrit grammar to his students by rote. Taking pity on him, Adi Shankaracharya went up to the scholar and advised him not to waste his time on grammar at his age but to turn his mind to God in worship and adorat

Thought Of The Day

Bhakti-yoga system is to engage the senses and the mind in Krsnas service. If your mind is engaged in Krsnas service, then there is very little scope for the mind being diverted from it. It diverts, but if you practice, then Krsna will help you.(Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.15.41), Los Angeles, 19.12.1973By H.D.G. Srila Prabhupada
