Keeping in constant touch with Krishna

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Even after the destruction of this body, consciousness is not destroyed. Rather, consciousness is transferred to another type of body and again makes us aware of the material conception of life. That is also described in the Bhagavad-gita. At the time of death, if our consciousness is pure, we can be sure that our next life will not be material -- our next life will be spiritual. If our consciousness is not pure at the

-          Stop! Stop! Please wait!

Shouting in this way one aged Devotee came running to the bus. But because bus waited for him for another several minutes another senior Devotee within the bus spoke to him with anger.

It was noon time. As usually in yatras in the morning Devotees are taken to the places of pilgrimage and in the noon time they have to be on time for noon Prasadam. If someone is late then there won’t be any Prasadam left.

So this time this bus was late and all Devotees were ang

Omnipotence of the lord

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Krishna can be in constant companionship with us because He is omnipotent. Therefore, He can be fully in touch with us by His words. His words and He are not different. That is omnipotence. Omnipotence means that everything relating to Him has the same potency. For example, here in this material world, if we are thirsty and we want water, simply repeating "Water, water, water, water," will not satisfy our thirst, becaus

Devotional Service Is Not Stillness

Priest: Do you have what I might call a training in contemplation?

Srila Prabhupada: We worship God in nine ways. One is smaranam, remembering God's activities. That is contemplation.

Priest: You know, in Christian mysticism we have a process of contemplation that St. Theresa of Avila described in her book Interior Mansion. Anybody is able to make an ordinary prayer, but the real mystic prayer is not given to everyone.

Srila Prabhupada: Our mystic prayer is to think of God's activities. Anyone can

Do not live in imagined future

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

If you want to be a happier, less-stressed person, there is no better place to start than with becoming aware of “anticipatory thinking,” or an imagined future.

Essentially, this type of thinking involves imagining how much better your life will be when certain conditions are met – or how stressful, or difficult something is going to be at some point down the road.

Typical anticipatory thinking sounds something like this

Nectar of Devotion

In the Padma Purāṇa it is stated that even a person whose life is completely sinful will be completely protected by the Lord if he simply surrenders unto Him. So it is accepted that one who surrenders unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead becomes free from all sinful reactions. And even when a person becomes an offender unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead Himself, he can still be delivered simply by taking shelter of the holy names of the Lord: Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Har

KRISHNA - THE SPIDER

Today while seeing a spider resting at center of the web, I had the below wonderful realizations:

• God is the Supreme Creator & Controller of all Universes as all the Universes & Galaxies created by HIM as the spider created the web around it.

• But the foolish individual web (circles) feel proud of themselves by thinking as how beautiful they are and they are proud of their existence and supremacy over other species of lives – (HUMAN BEINGS).

• Each of the individual web circle when sees or id

Urey and Miller followed the scientific method. Chemical compounds used by biological organisms were created using conditions simulating primordial earth, strongly suggesting that this method could eventually produce all the necessary compounds to allow the life force to settle in this realm.

In 1953 Urey and Miller, performed their famous expirement. Many say they proved life can come from chemicals. Their work ties in very nicely with the Big Bang Theory arising from Albert Einstein’s work and

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Once, long ago, on the shore of the river Sarasvati, a discussion arose among a group of sages as to which of the three chief lords-Brahmā, Vishnu or Shiva-is the greatest. They deputed Bhrigu Muni to investigate the matter.

Bhrigu decided to test the lords’ tolerance, for that quality is a sure sign of greatness. First he entered the court of Lord Brahmā, his father, without offering him any respect. This enraged Brahmā

Saintly or Sinful Act???

Saintly or Sinful Act???

Today (07.11.2012) at my work premises, I have seen one butterfly stuck in a big cobweb.  Seeing the pitiful condition of the butterfly and its struggle for life; I have released the butterfly from the cobweb by removing the cobweb around the butterfly with the aid of a stick.  As the butterfly was hanging to the stick, I have placed the butterfly on the ground by putting the stick on the floor.

After my above act, it suddenly stroke my mind whether had I done a saintly
