Thought Of The Day

Prabhupada: You may be in any material condition. Still you can develop your spiritual consciousness. That is there. But sometimes we accept a certain position for our personal convenience. That is another thing. But spiritual consciousness is not dependent on any material condition. It is spontaneous. Either he's a householder or a sannyasi or brahmacari or business man, or... It doesn't matter. He can become fully Krsna conscious if he accepts the principles.

So I am very happy that you Europeans and Americans especially, you are helping me. So continue this process, and that is the very easy way to be recognized by Krsna. So I thank you very much that you have come here in Vrndavana, and you are traveling, you are preaching. So let us dedicate this li

Utilization of the human energy in the service of the Lord is the progressive path of salvation.

It is advised that after the age of fifty, one should retire from family life and should conserve the energy of the body for utilization in the advancement of Krsna consciousness. Unless one is able to control the senses and engage them in the transcendental loving service of Mukunda, there is no possibility of salvation.

Proper utilization of thoughtfulness

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

By proper utilization of thoughtfulness, one comes to the stage of thinking of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. By thinking of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, one becomes free from the contamination of the faulty association of the material world, and thus one becomes peaceful. The world is in a disturbed condition because of a scarcity of such peaceful devotees in human society. Unless one is a devotee, one canno

Thought Of The Day

Prabhupada: Oh, that's nice. It is very nice. So intelligent men and women should take interest in this great movement. It is a very scientific spiritual movement. People are suffering for lack of spiritual knowledge. They have become materially like animals. Materialism means animalism. Yes. Materialism means animalism. Animalism means in the lower grade of existence. What is the difference between dog and a human being. He has got a lower grade body, and the human being has got a higher grade

Rakhe Krishna Bakrid ke…!!

A few days back, one devotee came up to me and told me how inspired she was to put more faith in the Lord since the time she had heard me mention the phrase - Rakhe Krsna, mare ke in one of my earlier classes in Raichur. I was reflecting on the miraculous incident that occurred just the day before and how when the Lord decides to protect, the fortunate living entity beats the odds and survives.

The miraculous sequence of events unfolded before our eyes on the tuesday, the day before the Bakrid. B

MY GURU

The Srimad Bhagavatam describes how the trees in Vrindavana are bowing down due to their heavy fruits. Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu explained this by describing how a person who has the fruits of good qualities is like a tree with good fruits. The weights of the fruits cause the tree to bow down to everyone. But a tree that doesn’t have good fruits stands up very straight, doesn’t bow to anyone.

A person who has character, amanina manadena, is eager to offer respect to the divinity, the spiritual ess

What am I doing here?

So the Vaisnava philosophy is... They want to remain predominated by the supreme predominator. And the Mayavada philosophy, the monists, they want to merge into the predominator. Their idea is to become themselves predominator. When they fail to become predominator in this material world... We are all trying to become predominator. Everyone is trying. Bhokta. "I shall..." Competition is going on.

The difference between a devotee and a non-devotee  is this, just like the bee and the fly ; the bee always is attracted by the honeyand flies go to the open sores. So the devotee is only attracted by the good qualities in other people and does not see theirfaults.

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Our eyes close - the eyelid closes them. But Vishnu's eye never closes. Therefore He is called animisa. Therefore the gopis condemned Brahma, “Why have you awarded us these nonsense eyelids? It sometimes closes the eye and we cannot see Krishna.” This is the desire of the gopis - they want to see Krishna always, without being disturbed by the eyelids. This is Krishna consciousness. The moment, when the eyes are closed b
