Hare Krishna! All glories to Srila Prabhupad!
Prabhu I am like a newly born child on this path of Bhakti. This is one of my first attempt at writing a Krishna conscious poem. Please excuse my ignorance and lack of knowledge and do guide me if I have written something inappropriate.
Hare Krishna!

If you commit vaisnava-aparadha then you do not lose your pious credits from your devotional service. It still stays in your spiritual bank account but what happens is that your bank account gets frozen. Just like when you have a bank account and the government freezes your bank account and you cannot get the money. So when you commit vaisnava-aparadha, your bank account of the spiritual credit gets frozen.

Then you have to suffer for sometime and then when you get purified by the suffering th

Thought Of The Day

Srama eva hi kevalam. Everyone is acting. Dharmah svanusthithah. According to Vedic civilization, there are four divisions of men. brahmana, ksatriya, vaisya, sudra, and further, spiritual divisions, brahmacari, grhastha, vanaprastha, sannyasa. So everyone has got some duty according to his position. So Bhagavata says that even a person executes his duty very perfectly, but if he does not awaken his Krsna consciousness, then all that he has done is simply a waste of time.

Once, the unmarried daughter of Kirtida, Srimati Radhika, and Her sakhis went to Nandgaon to see Yasoda-maiya. Charmed by srimati Radhika's beauty and qualities, Yasoda-maiya desired in her heart to marry Radhika to her son Krsna and thus have Her as her daughter-in-law. So great was her desire that she painted Kisori Radha's hands yellow. Radhika's heart became very happy but, as She returned to Her father's house in Varsana, She became

1. Having worshiped Lord Janardana and fasted on the Ekadasi day, Nanda Maharaja entered the water of the Kalindi on the Dvadasi to take his bath.

2. Because Nanda Maharaja entered the water in the dark of night, disregarding that the time was inauspicious, a demoniac servant of Varuna seized him and brought him to his master.

Krsna and the Gopis Meet for the Rasa Dance

KA1_126.jpg

1. Sri Krsna is the supreme Personality of Godhead, full in all opulences, yet upon seeing those autumn nights scented with blossoming jasmine flowers, He turned His mind toward loving affairs. To fulfill His purposes He employed His internal potency.

2. The moon then rose, anointing the face of the western horizon with the reddish hue of his comforting rays, and thus dispelling the pain o

The Gopis search for Krsna

The_Gopis_Search_For_Krishna.jpg

1. When Lord Krsna disappeared so suddenly, the gopis felt great sorrow at losing sight of Him, like a group of female elephants who have lost their mate.

2. As the cowherd women remembered Lord Krsna, their hearts were overwhelmed by His movements and loving smiles, His playful glances and enchanting talks, and by the many other pastimes He would enjoy with them. Thus absorbed in thoughts of Krsna, the Lo

The Rasa Dance

The-Rasa-Dance.jpg

1. There on the Yamuna’s banks Lord Govinda began the pastime of the rasa dance in the company of those jewels among women, the faithful gopis, who joyfully linked their arms together.

2. The festive rasa dance commenced, with the gopis arrayed in a circle. Lord Krsna expanded Himself and entered between each pair of gopis, and as that master of mystic power placed His arms around their necks, each girl thought He was

THE GLORIOUS FRUIT-SELLER STORY

From the book "The butter thief"

krishna-7.jpg

ATTRACTED BY NANDA-NANDANA
At the same time as Sri Krishna was performing His pastimes in Vrndavana, there was a lady in the nearby city of Mathura who used to sell very, very sweet fruits. She would go to the country villages where small children lived, and she would walk through the narrow lanes calling out, “Mangos! Oranges! Bananas! Guava!“ She had such lovely, ripe fruits, that many children would run to her, and ask for them in a beautiful way. They would all

The stature of Guru is so exalted that even if one surrenders completely, he is only able to touch the tip of His toes - where Guru has His feet, a devotee or a follower is only able to place his head there. In other words, where from the stature of Guru starts, (i.e., His lotus feet), devotee’s highest form, (i.e., his head) rests.

The Gopis sing of Krsna as He Wanders in the Forest

2514952970?profile=original

1. Whenever Krsna went to the forest, the minds of the gopis would run after Him, and thus the young girls sadly spent their days singing of His pastimes.

2. The gopis said: When Mukunda vibrates the flute He has placed to His lips, stopping its holes with His tender fingers, He rests His left cheek on His left arm and makes His eyebrows dance. At that time the demigoddesses travel

Sri Radhe-Krsna's playful pastimes (vihara)- Hau-bilau

2514952864?profile=original

Here, the brothers Krsna and Baladeva became so absorbed in Their childhood games that They even forget to come home to eat. Yasoda-maiya first sent Rohini to get Them, but as Rohini approached, Krsna and Baladeva ran away, frustrating her attempts to catch Them. Yasoda then went herself. She would emply various tricks and, with great difficulty, bring Them home where she bathed and fed Them. Sometimes she told Them about a haua, or hobgobin,

Such is the degree of reverence a devotee has for his Guru, that is reflected in the following doha of Saint Kabir :

Guru Gobind donon khade, Ka ke lagoon paayen,
Balihari Guru aapne, Jis Gobind diyo milaye.

Guru and Gobind (God) are both objects of reverence and worthy of worship but, Kabir puts ‘Guru’ at a higher pedestal than God. He says if both God and Guru condescend to give him ‘Darshan’ together, he would first touch the lotus feet of his ‘Guru’ before seeking blessings from the Lord, b
