Who is Srimati Radharani?

Srimati Radharani is the Supreme Goddess. She is most always seen with Lord Krishna. It is described that She is the chief associate and devotee of Lord Krishna, and topmost of all goddesses. Her name means that She is the most excellent worshiper of Lord Krishna. However, She is also an expansion of the Lord's energy. Since She is also an extension of Krishna, She is the feminine aspect of God. Thus, in the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition, God is both male and female. They are one, but Krishna expa

HH Kadamba Kanana Swami

So today they have asked me to speak, to inaugurate the upcoming Kirtan Mela. This evening there will be the adhivas ceremony of the Kirtan Mela and then after that kirtan will actually begin. So in a sense today is the first day of the Kirtan Mela and somehow or other this year our Sacinandana Swami who has been the MC for the last few years wasn't able to come and then they asked me to take over as the MC. That's why they asked me to give this lecture. That's how it happened.

Thought Of The Day

Prabhupada: No, where is faith if we do not execute tapasya? Where is faith? Visvasa sudrdha niscaya. That is visvasa, the same thing. This is visvasa: "Krsna said this; I shall do." This is visvasa. And if you do not do anything, what Krsna says, where is visvasa? There is no visvasa. Krsna says, satatam kirtayanto mam: [Bg. 9.14] "Anyone who is chanting Me, Hare Krsna..." So Krsna says; I must do it. That is visvasa. If you do not do that, where is visvasa? What do you mean by visvasa? Visvasa

Bheeshma Sthuthi

[This great prayer occurs in the great epic Mahabharatha. The Grand old man of Mahabharatha is Bheeshma, the son of King Santhanu and the grand father of Pandavas and Kouravas. Since he lived with Dritharashtra, he decided to join the war on the side of the Kouravas. Lord Krishna who refused to participate in the war took an oath that he would not take part in the war but be a charioteer to Arjuna. He also took an oath that he will never raise any weapon during the war. Bheeshma who is a great d

An Introduction to Bhagawad Gita

An Introduction to Bhagawad Gita
The followers of Sanathana Dharma (otherwise called as Hindus) did notfall back on any single prophet or a single book as the basis of theirreligion. Right from the beginning, this religion (thought process) hada pluralistic view. On one hand the religion appeared to depend onrituals, prayers and rites and on the other hand it appeared to dependon a very democratic exchange of philosophic ideas between the teacherand the student as in the Upanishads, which were a

Bahvricha Upanishad
Translated by Dr. A. G. Krishna Warrier
Published by The Theosophical Publishing House, Chennai

Om ! Speech is rooted in my thought (mind) and my thought is rooted in my speech.
Be manifest, patent, to me; be ye two, for me, the lynch-pins of the Veda.
Let not Vedic lore desert me.
With this mastered lore, I join day with night.
I shall speak what is right; I shall speak what is true.
Let that protect me; let that protect the spea
