Love means to Give.

The essential need within every living being is to seek pleasure. What do people do for pleasure? Now, different types of living entities have different standards of pleasure and they work in different ways to achieve them. For a little ant, the pleasure is a grain of sugar.
For a moth, its pleasure is light. And we’ve seen what they’ll do to attain that grain of sugar, how hard they will work to achieve that light, even taking the risk of their lives. For some people, their pleasure is to sati

Why Don't We Eat Onion and Garlic?

Many people (especially my peers and friends from school) seem to understand why I don't eat meat. But they're always rendered perplexed  when I tell them I also don't eat onion and garlic. While people are now getting used to the term, "vegetarianism", going "onion and garlic less" is still weird and unusual to many. Why don't we eat onion and garlic? There are many reasons why:

1) They cannot be offered to Lord Krishna.

2) They increase ignorance and passion.

3) Distracts us from being focused/

Srila Prabhupada Vani

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Description: Description: C:\Users\Krsna\Downloads\untitled.png.

The kaviraja asked Srila Prabhupada how he was feeling this morning.  Srila Prabhupada said, "I want to die.  Someone said I have been poisoned."  I asked who said that; and Prabhupada answered, "I do not know, but it is said."

The kaviraja came with Balarama Misra, a priest who wanted to offer one thousand tulasi leaves to Lord Narayana for Prabhupada's recovery.  Prabhupada asked that he do this at our temple, but he

Prabhupada: This million, million dollars is utopian.  Don't strain for collecting.  Then spiritual progress will be hampered.

Jayapataka Maharaja: It seems that the temple [in Mayapur] could be completed in seven years, in time for the five hundredth anniversary of Caitanya Mahaprabhu's appearance.

Prabhupada: That's nice.  Do it!

Jayapataka Maharaja: The architect says the inside portion can be finished and begun to be u

Hare Krsna

At 4:00 a.m., the kaviraja arrived, along with Jayapataka Swami.  As the kaviraja began to examine Srila Prabhupada, the mangala-arati bells began to ring, making us feel that his coming was auspicious.  The kaviraja had stayed up all night on the plane.

Prabhupada asked for a report of Mayapur from Jayapataka who said, "We want to finish the big temple within your lifetime so nothing will be left incomplete."

Prabhupada:

Being Immortal

Matter changes in six phases: birth, growth, maintenance, production of by-products, dwindling, and death. But the life within matter, the spirit soul, is eternal; it goes through no such changes. Life appears to be developing and decaying, but actually it is simply passing through each of these six phases until the material body can no longer be maintained. Then the old body dies, and the soul enters a n

The author conducted a 3-group study on the effects of chanting the hare krsna maha mantra on stress, depression, and the three modes of nature–sattva, rajas, and tamas–described in the Vedas as the basis for human psychology. Sixty-two subjects, self-selected through newspaper advertisements in a Southeastern university town, completed the study. Average age was 24.63 years, with 31 males and 31 females participating. Stress was measured with the Index of Clinical Stress, depression wasmeasured

Thought Of The Day

Prabhupada: So this is our duty. Just like in this particular case, about our Krsna consciousness movement, that so many people are giving me the credit. Actually, I have no credit. It is already desired or it is already planned that "This time in Western countries, this sankirtana movement..." So it is our duty. Similarly, our only duty is to carry out the order of the Supreme. Other things is already done by Him. So if we abide by the orders of the Supreme, then we get the credit.

Thought Of The Day

Prabhupada: Yes. He wishes sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja [Bg. 18.66], man-mana bhava mad-bhaktah. This is our duty, not that "I have got that duty, that duty, that duty." That duty, that duty will not save you. They will be destroyed. Dehapatya-kalatradi. This is explained in Bhagavata.
